This place is truly unique as is Mt Airy. What a gem this little Mayberry city is, right out of the Andy Griffith show. The food was unique as well. You have to have the breaded porkchop sandwich all the way !!!! It's very good and very filling. The ladies behind the counter are wonderful but because this place is pretty busy you don't get to talk to them much. Mt Airy is a must do as well as Snappys. Breakfast is served until 10:30 and then it switches to lunch until...
This is a must in Mt. Airy! But, plan ahead because every time we’ve gone there’s been a wait. Our most recent trip we ended up calling our order in and finding a table along the side walk to enjoy our sandwiches. The pork chop sandwiches are what they’re known for but if you aren’t a fan of pork they have lots of other things on their menu u that are just as good!
Stopped in for lunch after visiting the Andy Griffith museum. The prices were reasonable and the service was outstanding! We were excited to try the 80 year old *famous pork chop sandwich.* We will return!
