I ordered online, the BBQ meal for 4-6 and I mentioned in the online order that one of us had a gluten allergy. Danny, the manager, contacted me shortly after to ask questions and make sure that everything was prepared safely. Everyone loved the brisket and pork, we had the baked beans, potato salad and cole slaw, everything was perfect, and very reasonably priced, with 4 people we had seconds and leftovers. We used to get BBQ elsewhere in Murphy, it will be Big Nicks from here on out!

We are actually still sitting here... but I had to come here to say. GREAT FOOD, great service, reasonably priced. My husband and I often have a hard time deciding where to eat.. 🤣 this has become the default when we cant decide.

Wow, so let me tell you something. I just found out the best thing the other day that you can go here and not just only get the sandwich but you can substitute that for a pound of brisket! Right?! I mean, there’s so many options with this one! Best brisket, mac & cheese! Did I tell you that you can get a whole pound of brisket!
This place is ran by good ol folk. I believe they have a place over in Sylva too, but I’m not sure we’re gonna go check that one out one day when we’re in that neck of the woods.
My girlfriend and I love barbecue who doesn’t right look where we live but we love stopping in Nicks, when we are in that neck of the woods.

Nicks, we just wanna say happy holidays thanks for feeding us This heavenly masterpiece! I couldn’t and wouldn’t even want to dream of a world without Nicks existing.

Ok I’m writing this from the parking lot. This is hands down, bar none the BEST BBQ I’VE EVER HAD. Hushpuppies are a 20/10, pulled pork sandwich and baked beans rocked my world. The seasoning on everything is so refreshing and different than most boring BBQ and the homemade sauce was perfect. GO GO GO

Everything was on point and honestly best wings I ever had hands down. I am a super picky wing eater too. Only suggestion: Cole slaw needs to have more flavor maybe more vinegar based? Favorite: wings & baked beans

We live about 1.5 hours from here and came on a recommendation from a friend. We got the rib and brisket platter which come with 2 sides per platter and a bread roll. The sides, their sauce and sweet tea were really good. Hush puppies and Mac and cheese were great, and the waffle fries were probably the best I've ever had. However, the ribs and brisket were not what we expected. I live in the South and frequent BBQ places often, and I've never had ribs with as little meat as were on these. I scooped off the meat from my 3-bone platter and could easily fit all the meat in just the palm of one hand. The picture of the ribs my friend showed me he had were meaty and looked phenomenal, mine looked like soup bones. The brisket was good and you had more meat than the ribs, but were a little tough. It seemed to be left under a heat lamp for a little too long. I know the restaurant business is tough and there are off days, so we may have just showed up on an off day. We may try Nick's again because you can definitely taste that the flavor is there, but there needs to be more consistency with the product delivered. The one thing that is consistent is that the drive to Murphy is beautiful. You won't be disappointed getting here!

Just passing by i smelled the food. I had to turn my truck around. Which was a good idea because I found parking.
I had the turkey sandwich with a side of beans. I really enjoyed it and I will return for another meal in the future.
Enjoy
