They served biscuits with apple butter before our meal and the biscuits melted in your mouth. Yummmm. I ordered the boneless fried chicken and while the crust was excellent the chicken was really tough thus the 4 stars. Also had a side of okra that was okay BUT the star of the show was definitely the deep fried pickles; they were the best I’ve ever had and I order them from every place that has them so I know an awesome deep fried pickle for sure. Service was excellent just wish the chicken had been a little better. Was an overall very pleasant experience and we didn’t have to wait long at all to get a table.

I have heard about Julie’s for several months but finally visited the restaurant Thursday night. We are not full time Residents in Hayesville but do own a home and come as often as possible. My husband said 3 times during dinner, “We’ve got to come back here more often!” It was so good and we definitely will be back when we are here. Already made our reservations for Thanksgiving.

I absolutely hated to give this place three stars. The food is so reasonably priced and absolutely delicious! But our waitress was so incredibly rude that we were both astonished. Everyone that we have met in Murphy has been so super friendly until meeting this woman this morning. No, I don't know her name, but she had blonde hair and glasses. At first I thought she was just having a bad day, which is fine. But then, when local people came in, she was doting on them as though they were celebrities. I asked her a simple question, and she looked at me like I was a total moron. Never, ever came over and acted friendly at all.Just went through the motions. So when we were leaving, I made one last attempt and said to her thank you so much everything was wonderful.She wouldn't even look at me and just mumbled mm hm. I have to say my husband and I are the type that just never complain.But this behavior was egregious, enough that I had to write something.
