We have NEVER EVER had a bad meal here! Has it been crazy busy and we had to wait..YES! Has it been crazy busy and our server was in the weeds..YES! Has it been crazy busy and it took more than 10 minutes to get our food..YES! These things happen! Julie’s employees due their absolute best to minimize these but the reason they do happen is because you can’t beat the food or service here! We would eat there every single night if we could but they’d be sick of us!!
They served biscuits with apple butter before our meal and the biscuits melted in your mouth. Yummmm. I ordered the boneless fried chicken and while the crust was excellent the chicken was really tough thus the 4 stars. Also had a side of okra that was okay BUT the star of the show was definitely the deep fried pickles; they were the best I’ve ever had and I order them from every place that has them so I know an awesome deep fried pickle for sure. I have heard about Julie’s for several months but finally visited the restaurant Thursday night. We are not full time
Residents in Hayesville but do own a home and come as often as possible. My husband said 3 times during dinner, “We’ve got to come back here more often!” It was so good and we definitely will be back when we are here. Already made our reservations for Thanksgiving.
