Second visit to legends the first time was at opening and was served bad steak and cold ribs the first time. After waiting 2 or so years we decided to try again last night. This restaurant is extremely overpriced for the product and service you receive my group ordered appetizers because we were still somewhat worried of paying through the nose for a steak that wasn’t good. We ordered the split shrimp which was covered in some sauce that tasted like chocolate and cherry mix wasn’t good at all. For 14 dollars. Then an order of onion rings for 10 dollars that were so heavily battered and drowned in oil that no one could consume any. My wife ordered a salad that was good but so small served on a tea cup plate. Out little one ordered chips and queso and she said that it was ok two cokes and one water later bill was 85 dollars plus 20 % tip untouched food was ignored and we paid our bill and left feeling used and tricked like we do everytime we eat in Murphy establishments.

Service was horrible. Sat for 10 min without even a waitress/waiter saying hello. It was not busy and at least 4 waitstaff walked back and forth without making eye contact. We left and I’m not sure they even realized. Came to Murphys chop house around the corner. Better atmosphere, amazing service.

First time eating here. No wait to be seated. Atmosphere seemed like eating at a cafeteria. Wine offering was underwhelming, so that was skipped. I ordered dry aged ribeye, mashed red potatoes and side salad. My wife ordered the 6oz filet, grits and side salad. The salads were very fresh and crisp. The dinner was served with a roll but no butter. We ask for butter and our waitress brought it to our table. The dry aged ribeye was requested medium rare. It was cooked perfectly, and was outstanding. Tender, juicy and had incredible flavor. A great choice. My wife's filet was cooked a perfect medium rare as well. Flavor and texture seemed a bit lacking for a filet. We had a large piece of hummingbird cake for dessert. It was absolutely delicious. We did order the Sante Fe chicken appetizer and would pass on that next time. Over all, the food was a good value and the ribeye was incredible. I think the atmosphere was the biggest disappointment, not sure a return visit is in my future.

The quality of the food was very good. The hostess that greeted us did not have an inviting personality which set the tone for our first ever visit. Even though the waitress was attentive we had to ask for water, drink menu and never said ā€œyou’re welcomeā€ to our thank you’s. It was always ā€œof courseā€ or nothing. These things may seem small but it’s the small things that make a difference. Loved your story and why you named your restaurant ā€œLegendsā€.

We eat here weekly but after yesterday afternoon never again. We drove from Blairsville to have dinner as usual. Upon arrival at 645 there was a sign on the door that said closing at 7pm due to inclement weather. We walked in because it was 645. We were told they were not seating anymore tables due to weather. Since when do we close for cold? It was 30 degrees out with absolutely zero chance of precipitation in the forecast for the next 3 days. The roads were completely dry the schools had school that day and are operating on a normal schedule this morning. If the kids can drive to school in cold weather then surely you can operate on your normal schedule. There were multiple families we watched get turned away after us and most tables were full. Stay away! This business does not want to earn your money!

To start off service and atmosphere is not impressive.

Meals:
I had the 45 day aged dinner with green beans, bacon šŸ„“ and onions šŸ§… with a salad šŸ„—& mushrooms šŸ„ and sauce.
It was 6.5-7 out of 10 stars ✨

Wife had larger filet mignon steak 🄩 was a perfect šŸ‘ 10 stars ✨, mashed potatoes šŸ„” under seasoned and needed butter and a very good Pinot noir!

Worth going and we believe overpriced for the experience.

Went there last year for dinner had a terrible meal. Thought we’d give him another chance. Went there tonight. My wife and I everything was fantastic. A big improvement from a year ago. My steak was a little bit tough ordered medium well could have been more tender.
We will definitely be back again because they did show that they cared, and they made enormous improvements
Update: when back for dinner last night, sorry to say this restaurant has gone downhill, waited 45 minutes for our dinner, asked to talk to owner, nice lady but she’s in the wrong business.
My $40 ribeye steak came with a small side of mashed potatoes and a slab of butter that’s all, very overpriced. Never again spent $90 left hungry.

This is by far the best food we have had on our vacation up here and the best waitress as well… after a day of hiking, we enjoyed the food here that was cooked perfectly and served with large portions and frequent refills on our drinks. They even made sure to accommodate for my shellfish allergy. We will definitely return to this amazing place and try more of the menu

I'm a tough critic. But for a super cool quaint little town. They are certainly trying. Our Cajun prime rib way over spiced. The green beans overcooked badly. We substituted them for the corn a way better choice the dinner salad was pretty nice. My cream cycle drink did no skimp on vodka. Wife's grilled steak was perfect.

ordered a hamburger steak well done no pink brought to table brown on outside and raw on inside took back was 20 min before it came out my friend was done eating and I had to carry home in a to go box. I ask for grilled onions and mushrooms in a bowl a tablespoon full was on my raw steak. I ask if she was charging me $5 for that she said yes. When my steak came back out no onions or mushrooms on it at all.Had to ask for bread. Last time we were there the waitress forgot to turn out order in so we left without eating. I said then I wouldn't be back
