A perfect first stop on our road trip.
Atmosphere - Warm, welcoming, accommodating. Food was freshly prepared and delicious! The best Guinness cheese sauce I’ve ever eaten and the gravy for the bangers & mash was on point. Shepherds pie meat tender & nicely seasoned. Mr. Brett behind the bar is a gem who is love of beer is literally on display with his clever wall arrangement of the Parson’s offerings that acts as their beer menu. Will gladly find reasons to visit this area again just so we can stop in.

We went here for the first, and definitely not the last time today. The service was awesome. Everyone was so friendly. The atmosphere was great. It’s the kind of place where you walk in and immediately feel relaxed and welcomed. The food was outstanding. My husband got his absolute favorite meal: corned beef and cabbage. He said it’s the best he’s ever had. I had the shepherd’s pie and it was delicious. We will be back for sure!

Surprisingly good. I didn't expect much for a place in a small town, but I got the sherperd pie and my partner got the Reuben. Both were super delicious and exceeded our expectations

Good food and beers. The Shephard’s pie was ok, but the fries were really good. The Rueben needed some thousand Island dressing, I didn’t taste any, but it was still good. The chocolate stout, hazy ipa, and the harp beers were good. The place is for sale, so don’t know how long they will be around. The waitress was the only one serving tables and the bar and she kept up with everyone really well.

Unfortunately the food wasn’t that good. Our server was sweet but the place didn’t seem so clean. I will not return

I recently visited Parsons Pub in Murphy, North Carolina, hoping for a delightful dining experience. Unfortunately, my expectations were not met, as the overall quality of the food was quite disappointing. From the moment we sat down, it was evident that much of the menu consisted of items that had been previously frozen. This fact was hard to overlook as every dish we tried lacked the freshness and flavor that one would hope for when dining out.
Our meal began with an appetizer, which set the tone for the rest of our experience. The items were cold in the middle, a clear indication that they had not been cooked thoroughly. Moving on to the main courses, we found that each dish followed a similar pattern. Whether it was the supposedly crispy fried options or the more substantial entrees, everything had a uniformly bland taste that did not live up to its description on the menu. It was as if the flavors were lost in the freezer long before they ever reached our plates.
While the food was subpar, I must commend the service. The staff at Parsons Pub were attentive and friendly, doing their best to make our visit enjoyable. They were quick to address our needs and check in on us throughout the meal. It’s unfortunate that their efforts could not make up for the lackluster quality of the food.
In conclusion, while the service at Parsons Pub was commendable, the food was a major letdown. The predominance of frozen ingredients and the tasteless nature of the dishes made for a dining experience that I do not wish to repeat. I would advise anyone looking for a satisfying meal in Murphy to explore other options. Unfortunately, I will not be returning to Parsons Pub.

I like visiting this pub when I'm in the area, however on my last visit, it was 85 degrees inside the place. Very uncomfortable. I won't be back until Fall.
We adore this pub! Our favorite spot to eat each time we are in Murphy, the corned beef ….amazing. I think the AC might have been broken as it was a bit warm, they had fans on the floor to help, hopefully it will be fixed soon! We love this pub!
