Ordered a ribeye and it was fat and gristle. Manager came by right after we got our food and I told him I couldn’t eat it that it was fat. His excuse was that a ribeye is 25% fat and offered no apology. He didn’t even say he was sorry. The best part of the meal was the carrot cake.

The food and service quality were truly exceptional. Our server, Dawn White, was fantastic. We didn’t need a thing she was on top of everything. The sweet tea was perfect that’s hard to do. The salmon and fried green tomatoes were excellent. We will be back❤️

The Chicken Fettuccine and Chicken Bruschetta were amazing! Stevie was our waiter and was very attentive to our needs!
The Landing Café in Murphy, North Carolina, left much to be desired, despite being marketed as a high-end dining experience. I was gifted a $100 dining credit from the nearby casino, which initially had me excited to try what was advertised as top-notch cuisine. Unfortunately, the reality did not live up to the hype.
The menu offerings fell short of expectations. I ordered the Pasta Americana, which was supposed to be a seafood dish but ended up being a letdown. The dish featured a few shrimp over a bed of pasta, and the promised crab was practically nonexistent. The chicken parmesan tasted like they used canned sauce. The Calabash shrimp, typically known for its flavor, turned out to be nothing more than plain fried shrimp, lacking the expected zest. The Hot and Spicy Garlic Shrimp, which I anticipated would be bursting with flavor, were instead overcooked and bland.
In terms of ambiance, The Landing Café misses the mark. Despite being advertised as an upscale establishment, the décor felt more akin to a budget-friendly diner. There was nothing about the setting that justified the supposed high-end dining experience they claim to offer. The overall atmosphere did little to enhance the dining experience.
On a positive note, the service was commendable. The wait staff was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable. However, even with excellent service, the quality of the food and the overall dining experience did not match the expectations set by the restaurant’s marketing. My $100 dining credit felt more like $50 in actual value. In the end, The Landing Café failed to deliver on its promise of being a top-tier dining destination.

We have been to the landing several times and it was always good. This experience was much less enjoyable than previous visits.
Service- waitress was friendly but rushed us throughput the meal. We had no sooner sat down than she came wanting to take drink order. We literally had not even opened the wine /cocktail list yet. We ordered water and told her we'd decide on drinks once we had a moment to look at the menu. The whole ordering process felt rushed. They were not busy. She had 1 other table in her section. We ordered 2 appetizers to share, plus my fiance had a salad as a side with his dinner. She brought both appetizers and his salad, all at the same time! She never brought share plates for our appetizers. The appetizers were just "ok". The watermelon caprese said watermelon, mozzarella and basil, but instead of basil they threw spring salad mix on the plate. The macaroni bites had very little seasoning or taste. Then we were only about half way thru our apps when she brought the entrees! Then the bus person stopped like 3 times trying to clear dishes we hadn't finished. The whole thing felt super rushed. My fiance ordered the special of the day tilapia. It was described as tilapia with grits atop it. Instead it was a plate full of very liquidy grits with fish atop the grits and brown gravy piled on the side. It honestly looked like someone had thrown up onto the plate.(I have a photo and will upload it if there is a place to add it on this review) Their prices have increased dramatically but it's apparent the food had not improved at all in quality. The flavor of the fish and of my entree was good, otherwise I probably would have given them 1 star.

My Husband and I ate dinner last night at the Landing Cafe
It was delicious. The staff were extremely polite and friendly. The prices as fair as the food is consider compared to the type of food. Was excellent. Also, you can use your casino point to lower your cost of meal.

This was the only sit down restaurant in the casino. The atmosphere was just OK. Most people ordered pizza but I had the pork belly sliders and mac-n-cheese bites. The pork belly was over powered by the sweet sauce on the plate and the notes had no flavor. The complimentary bread was nice.

Our server, Holly was phenomenal! Great personality, efficient, and knowledgeable. The food was fantastic. We had the watermelon caprese salad and the pasta americaine and the white chocolate blueberry cheesecake. I highly recommend. Also, request Holly for your server. You'll be glad you did!

Starting out, the lemon for my water was served in a small dish. Anyone could tell the slices were old and when I picked one up it was slimy. Passed on the slimy lemon. That was a preview to how the rest of the meal was heading.
There’s a pic on the menu showing thick samples of beef so you can choose how you’d like your steak prepared. I ordered the filet mignon, the most expensive item on the menu. My husband ordered the lobster tail. Both of us ordered a loaded baked potato and a Caesar’s salad for our sides. So this was a $100+ meal.
Surprisingly, the Caesar salad was a full portion salad, not a side salad. Plenty of shaved Parmesan in the salad, BUT it tasted like all the wax part of the cheese!
The potatoes were definitely pre-cooked and room temperature. The cheese that was on top looked as though it had melted hours ago and then cooled (see pic).
The filet mignon was like nothing we had ever seen. It was barely 1/2” thick and looked like it came out of some kind of press (fake grill marks included) and it tasted like it was premade and microwaved and not fresh or hot at all. I ordered it medium-well, not shoe leather.
We told our server but basically she did nothing and immediately offered me a to-go dessert ….seems like that may have been their common solution.
The Landing Cafe opens at 4pm. This was a 4pm reservation. There were hardly any people eating at the time so it’s not like the kitchen staff was super busy. VERY DISAPPOINTING!

Our waitresses was excellent. Our drinks were filled and she made sure we had what we wanted. The issue was our NY Strips. Both my wife's and my streak had gristle. It was not a lot but it was tough. It was on one end so it was not terrible. Otherwise the steak was not bad.The potatoe was good as well as the salads. My wife had the lobster add and it was a bit over done. The price was a bit much for the quality of food.

Overall both Cherokee locations rate poorly on food. The Landing Cafe is just ok.I wish that they'd explore a cheese selection for pizza that is both chewable and digestible. Instead they have cheap rubberish cheese.
