Beautiful Christmas tree and decor. The fresh seafood we ordered was remarkable. Lightly breaded and perfect! Our server, Tessie, was efficient and delightful. She loves her job! The views of the water at sunset are stunning. The entire experience was amazing.

Stopped in for a quick Sunday lunch and it was delicious! The staff was friendly and attentive too. I highly suggest the brie with raspberry jam wrapped in philo dough and the sweet potato sausage balls.

Took in the Thankgiving Buffet, large crowd,lots of food.Service on the lines was good,they moved along.Food was great,but brussel sprouts were like rocks,prime rib server needed a sharper knife.But at the end....paid a $104.41 check with a hundred and a fifty,received. 59 cents back as change.WRONG!!Candice our server would not come back to the table .When she finally did come back she blamed the cashier and gave up the correct amount.A $45 tip at a buffet is a little much don't you think.I'm native Roanoke Islander as was my the rest of my party.Don't know about them,I"ll take in Captain George's if I get the hankering for seafood buffet, Tale of the Whale for ala carte.

This review isn't about your every day service or food, as a seafood restaurant your food is fantastic. This is about your Thanksgiving day buffet. The quality of food was awful, it was cold and tasteless. Way to many people packed into the restaurant. The seafood was overcooked and cold. For what you charged, the food should've been a lot better. Definitely won't be doing that ever again. So disappointed. We drove an hour to go there and came back home hungry. Even the dessert was terrible.

Generous portions. Our server was really delightful. Unfortunately, I didn't catch her name, but she was the best server I have had at any restaurant in quite some time.

We’ve been going to the Lone Cedar for ages, and always had a good experience. Last night, however, was a great disappointment. My husband had to send his pasta dish back, it was so dry and cold. My crabcake and shrimp were overcooked and tepid at best. Come on guys. You can do better.

Food was great, view is great! Chairs are hard in the bar area. Glad we could watch the Guardians on TV there! Too bad the bartender was a Yankee fan, lol! Shecrab soup was very good!

Terrible experience! Arrived at 6:55 on a Saturday night. We are finally seated at 7:58 even though literally a dozen or more empty tables and no apologies or "sorry for the long wait". At 8:45 we are still sitting and waiting on our food. No manager came by to apologize for the wait. People on either side of us both got their food and completely ate their meals and still no food for us. So we finally just told our waitress to cancel our order. And she just smiled and said "I'm sorry." Terrible customer no service!
