Johanna catered our wedding, and the food was PHENOMENAL!!! We got so many compliments from guests on how the food was the best they've ever had at a wedding which was definitely our goal. Good food was one of our most desired pieces of the wedding, and Johanna and her team knocked it out of the park. We got buffet style, and the staff that came to service the event were so gracious. Lynda was also great to work with in terms of coordination and contracting. We also did a tasting before our wedding and would highly recommend doing this - Johanna took our feedback and was able to customize a dish for us!

I would give Johanna 10 stars 🌟 if I could!! We hired her team for our wedding on Labor Day in Rodanthe and were COMPLETELY IMPRESSED with literally everything. WOW. 🤩 even our photographer said she was the best on the island, and every single one of our guests complimented her food. We had a taco bar & desert spread, and I’ve never had such good food at any other wedding! It rained all day during our wedding and this didn’t slow them down one bit. All the food was the right temperature, the presentation was on point, and I believe I had the best tacos 🌮 in OBX! If you are in need of a caterer in OBX- please consider Johanna & her team. I’ve never been so happy or blown away with how great she was with everything. I’ll update my review when I’ve got proper photos also.

Perfect location for any event. Have been here twice. Once for a baby shower and another time for a graduation party. Very spacious, clean, can be decorated to any party theme. Johanna and her Crew provide amazing service and delicious food. Beautifully Lanscaped and romantic front garden perfect for special ceremonies. With ample parking. It's hard to find such stunning event centers on the Outer banks like Johanna's Event Center. Definitely recommend it for any event.

Johanna’s team catered my mom’s 90 th birthday celebration. They were the best. Every single one of the 16 guests at dinner agreed. The team of Johanna and Tina and Kelli came in a set up quietly and effortlessly. They were a part of the celebration from cocktails through piano concert and dessert. Their presence was so lovely. The meal was spectacular. They made special request ambrosia salad and stunning whitefish and beef short ribs. Wine glasses were never empty. The kitchen was perfectly cleaned. Everything was served with grace. Appetizers were circulated. We all focused on our beloved Mama and they did the rest. We highly recommend them. Many thanks !!!

I have been coming to the Outer Banks for almost three decades. My family and I have travelled all over the island, visited many restaurants and naturally have our favorite places. So, when it came time for my wife and I do pick our catering for our destination wedding, we were unsure where to turn and honestly the pressure was on to live up to the standard of some of our favorite places. I can honestly say that Johanna's food and overall experience blew our expectations out of the water and her food was absolutely unbelievable. Some of our family had been to the OBX many times and some had come for the very first time for our wedding and all of us agreed, Johanna's dining experience was one of the highlights of the entire wedding week!! We had Johanna's cater the rehearsal dinner, wedding dinner, and post-wedding brunch and honestly we could not get enough. Everything was of the highest quality, fresh, and so tasty. Her menu was phenomenal giving us a lot of options to choose from and she had something for everyone! We did a taco bar, pasta bar, and brunch for our three meals and all of them were amazing! Johanna's Cafe is now at the top of the list for our family! On the administrative side, her team was professional, prompt, and so helpful in organizing everything for us since were were coming from out of state. Her wait staff was so courteous, polite, and helpful and you can tell that every single one of them truly cares about your experience with them! We have already said that for our 5th anniversary we are coming back to the OBX and will be using Johanna again. We could not recommend her more and she's the only catering service we will ever use again on the island! We could not thank her enough for all that her and her team did and how truly perfect our experience was!
