McGrath's Burger Shack

The food tasted great but since my last trip here it seems they changed the style of burger buns they use which are thick and stiff and hard to bit into when eating a big thick burger . No sure if there's been change in management since I was there in July but I would recommend going back to the old style buns they had before. Otherwise the Irish car bomb burger was great and the sweet potato fries are amazing and they give you plenty of them. Restaurant was clean and neat.

My family arrived at 8:25pm. Sat and waited on anyone to come and greet us to seat us. When they lady finally came out she stated that she would have to ask if they were still open when the sign says 9pm. We said nevermind and left. Bad experience and wouldn't visit again.

Great atmosphere and lovely service. Wasn’t that busy on a Sunday for lunch, we had burgers and the fried pickles. They were spears! The sliders were delicious

Needed more Jameson sauce but the burger was perfectly cooked! 9 year old approved of the kids burger! Cheese with the pretzels was super thick and not very tasty, but I think that was a fluke. We will be back.

We tried the Irish Car Bomb burger, the Breakfast Burger, the Whiskey Burger, the Mojito Lime Chicken sandwich, and the fish and chips. Everything was delicious, but the fish and chips were my favorite. It was also fun to have live entertainment. There was some standup comedy, guitarist, and a little bit of karaoke. Everyone in our group had a great time and a wonderful experience! Jennifer was our waitress and went above and beyond to make our visit memorable.

Stopped into a this little gem on vacation from nj and wow I’m glad I did!!!! The service was beyond warming and amazing! The the food is outstanding! So far this is thr best food I’ve had in the outer banks. Southern hospitality is a real thing because the lady they took care of me was so sweet and so friendly. The food was made with love all the way down to the burger bun softness in the black stamp that they put into the bun.10 ⭐️

I got the Irish Car Bomb burger. Easily one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. The children’s menu chicken tenders are massive. Came out looking like chicken filets. Fries came with great dipping sauce. If you love burger joints give this place your first try in the area.
