Each visit to OBX, I always make my way to Millers. Every visit to Millers is amazing with the outside water views and food. This time was very different. The greeting on arrival and seating was cordial as always. However, when seated, I overheard the server who came to take the order state to another server, “I think I took your table”.The server delivered the worst I experienced at Millers. I ordered the fish sandwich and onion rings instead of the fries. The sandwich was supposed to come with lettuce and tomato but did not. When asking the server about the lettuce and tomato, she said (quote) “the sandwich was already closed in the kitchen, so I didn’t bring them. You want them, OK I will go get them.”I say, OK what about the onion rings. She says, ugg, let me get them. When the check arrived, it was not the correct amount. The sub onion rings should be $3 but she charged $4. When questioned, she said “Oh, I saw that and told my manager, so she already knows”.The question was, if you knew it was not correct, why did you bring it to the table?Even after she returned with the updated amount, she combined everything and still charged the incorrect amount. She finally returned with the correct amount and the bill was paid.My server was very nonchalant about anything that was not correct. Overall, just an unpleasant experience today.

We sat on the back deck and the view was stunning!!! The food was good. I got broiled scallops which were fine. Not bad at all but not the best I've ever had for sure. I actually was very impressed with the mixed veggies and will try and recreate them at home because they were delicious. All of my kids ordered from the kids menu and there were no complaints. Fries were very good. My husband had the fish sandwich and said it was also fine. Tarter sauce was excellent!

This was our first time visiting the OBX. We found this beautiful waterfront restaurant for dinner. The food was amazing as well as the atmosphere and service. We went upstairs to the bar area, they will open the windows and you can feel the breeze coming in off the sound. We had a few drinks and watched the beautiful sunset over the sound. We loved it so much we went back the next day for lunch. We can't wait to go back again!

This is a very popular sound front seafood restaurant, with some options for non-seafood-seeking patrons. Lots of seating with views of the sound. Boat-up dock, beautiful gazebo on the sound, and additional patio seating on the sound. Limited bar seating. Free parking lot is a little congested, but adequate. Staff are very friendly and helpful. All of our food was excellent, though the hush puppies were a bit dry and tasteless. Scallops were incredibly tender and fresh. Chicken Fontina was juicy & flavorful. Views are incredible, but it was very hot inside and very loud. There were several large groups and we could not hear each other speaking. Otherwise, this was a top-notch dinner experience.

The food here was outstanding! Chose this place based on reviews, was looking for some fresh seafood, something a little more special for our last night meal on our week long vacation. This place delivered, and was a great decision! So thank you all for your reviews! We started with the she crab soup, it was excellent, fresh crab, hot, and had great flavor! I had the seafood trio: oysters, shrimp, and scallops. It was great, good flavor, the scallops were cooked right and were soft, had great flavor: highly recommend!! I also had a crab cake to try, it was full of fresh real crab meat, not filler, had great flavor, it was quite big, and was delicious! Family member had the waterfront style scallops: it had lump fresh crab meat piled on them and smothered with a creamy cheese sauce, I also highly recommend that! The scallops were very soft and flavorful, really cooked just right. This place is great, the food was outstanding, and I highly recommend it! I did have 2 minor things though: 1 - it was extremely loud: I could barely talk to person sitting next to me at the same table, and had to yell pretty loud for the person across the table to hear me, which I couldn’t hear them back (and I don’t have hearing problems). To put this in perspective, at one point we started texting each other because we couldn’t make out what the other was saying. 2 - it was hot, at one point it was 80 degrees (seen on thermostat on wall) and felt like an oven. Mentioned to our waitress about the heat and within a few minutes I felt the air turn on - it got down to 73 by the time we left. This was one of the more expensive seafood restaurants we tried on this trip, as was expected, but it was worth it!!! Also, this restaurant is on the sound side of the island. So we were able to enjoy the colors of the sunset, but it was mostly clouded out so we didn’t get any good pictures. Most of the time you would get a very nice view from here.

We are from MD, and are usually disappointed with seafood from the Carolina's. Not with this place! No wait, and beers were good as well. The snow crab legs we very tasty, the waterfront scallops were even better. The baked potato which is usually an after thought, was just perfect. We liked it so much we went twice within the week.

We love Millers restaurant. We try to eat here everytime we come in town. Dinner is always fabulous. The staff is friendly and accommodating. We've had seafood pasta, swordfish and grits last night, coconut shrimp and my dtr had a huge salad that we finished the next day. Their deserts are scrumptious and reason to come back the next day.I love and look forward to having their green fried tomato's appeziter and bam bam shrimp and highly recommend. The restaurant is spacious, clean with a great view . They have a nice upstairs and bar area as wellDietary restrictions: I can't eat sugars and had plenty of optionsParking: Close to the door, has a ramp if neededKid-friendliness: My dtr loves Millers from chicken ,seafood or salads. Staff is so sweet to kids, families and seniors

Another great dining experience here! We showed up towards the end of the evening but the service was still quick and amazing. The Trawl Boat entree was on point as was the Key Lime pie. I highly recommend this spot, especially at sunset.

Coming back from Bodie lighthouse, my family wanted to enjoy seafood with a view and we stumbled upon Miller's waterfront restaurant. My actual rating was going to be 4/5 but this was superseded by an amazing conversation with our server - Abby who was just amazing,Here is the summary of my review:1. Ambiance 5/5: We visited this place in November which is supposed to be an off-season so there weren't many people here. We got a table with a gorgeous view. The place doesn't have anything fancy and is like a regular seaside shack but the view was amazing.2) Service 7/5: The server Abby was amazing and catered to all our needs especially since I was looking for vegetarian food at a seafood restaurant. She also has some of the best deer hunting stories.3) I don't remember much of the food that we had. I had roasted cauliflower which was the day's special which I liked.4) Value for Money 4/5: This is not the cheapest place so check the prices before you go but for the view and the discussion we had with Abby, this was a delight.Overall, worth a visit:Recommendations:1) Visit during sunset for a gorgeous view2) Ask for Abby and if you are good, she might shower you with her amazing life story. :)Vegetarian options: not a lot of vegetarian options
