Bread was cold, food was bland except for the chicken. Ordered their 3 course meal and didn’t get the desert and the waitress charged us for it but it was never offered or asked about. But then again after waiting forever for food who wants to wait another 20 minutes for the waitress to come back. Floor was covered in food from being wiped off and just thrown in the floor.
They were out of both baked potatoes and mashed potatoes. The steaks were dry and tasteless. The girls bathroom was nasty.
Food was delicious. The atmosphere was great. The server was excellent. Went above and beyond to make sure we have everything the way we wanted it.
Went to Nags Head Outback today 6-14-25 at 12:15 for early Father’s Day meal. Had 10 in party, upon arrival we told they were short handed and couldn’t seat party’s over 7. We were told if we split up they couldn’t seat party’s us near the others. Some in party went to the restroom and they had not been cleaned. As busy as Nags Head is the store should not have opened their doors if they couldn’t handle a large crowd. There wasn’t many customers at that time. Unexceptionable!!! We did not stay!!
I put our order in at 3:45. Arrived at 6:35 to pick it up as scheduled and now at 7:10, leaving with our order. Seven other people were also waiting inside the curbside pickup door trying to get someone to come help us. My husband had gone in 10 minutes earlier and all he got was “we know you’re here, stand behind the line”. Very poor Customer Service.!! I certainly thought almost 3 hours in advance would be ample time for the order to be ready. I received this request for my opinion before we even got the bag of food. I will never come to an Outback Steakhouse again.
Food was alright , Billy my server really made the experience besides him being a Phillies fan, really great guy and social. Give the man a raise he’s doing great.
We called ahead and were told no problem. We got there and they said they have away our table. We offered to split into 2 smaller groups. They said that wasn’t allowed. After waiting the time quoted they said that there was a bunch of large parties. They were rude. There were also several open tables. Clearly they don’t care. Be forewarned.
We got there and sat down and it took 20 minutes just to get our drinks! Our French onion soup got to our table before our appetizer the blooming onion was burnt and crispy and just wasn’t enjoyable our drinks sat empty for 10-15 minutes at a time and our tea was never sweet! It took an hour and a half for our food and our steaks they were dry and over cooked, the loaded baked potato was cold and hard at the bottom it wasn’t worth the wait. We hardly ate anything! We drove for two hours trying to find something and they didn’t have a wait and we just wanted something appetizing and this restaurant was very disappointing. I do not recommend going here it’s just a waste of time and the food is not good. The 60 dollars I still had to spend even after the manger taking some off was still to much.

Corporate needs to seriously reevaluate this location. Not usually a type of person that would make a negative review, but experience from beginning to end was terrible. Got on waiting list, via their website, to arrive hours later. The hostess should in no way shape or form be at that position. There were approximately 20 empty tables, showed the hostess my confirmation email with the time and for a party of 2 and was told I was not on any waiting list(This happened to others as well) and to have a seat, with no clear understanding of time frame, nor verifing a name etc. Decided to have a seat and watched approximately 40 to 50 people walk in the door as the hostess told everyone 45 to 60 min wait time. For reference, this was 630pm on a Monday. Most people turned around and left, when she started seating the customers that were waiting, she did so in no organized manner, seating parties that had been waiting for 5 mins over parties that had been waiting for 30 to 45 mins. It was a cluster to say the least, after being seated, Ana who seemed to really be trying, took our order, she was pleasant, we ordered right away with first contact. We had menus but no silverware, nor did the other 4 or 5 tables around us. Ana brought out our side salad to the table but did so in such a rush we were unable to ask for silverware. While that wasn't her fault, nor responsibility, we were able to flag her down a few mins later. And she returned with silverware a few mins after that. Total time with food on table and no utensils to eat was approximately 10 mins. Same with every other table. Watched an entire table of 6 just get up and leave. Zero manager in sight, not one time did I ever see a manager, not sure they existed the way the place was ran. Ordered a draft beer, took 15 mins to get. Keep in mind this is a half empty restaurant, maybe only 40ish customers inside.Food came out, and was almost inedible. Green beans tasted like frozen plastic, were not prepared properly with stems still attached etc. The 30 dollar steaks were cooked correctly but tasted like meat that had been frost bitten in the freezer. The only food that was ok in taste, flavor was a side salad. This was by far the worst restaurant experience I have ever experienced. Ever. I probably witnessed a few thousand dollars of customers walk out the door due to the inability of the staff to work in a restaurant environment. Whoever is running this location should be fired immediately because they are cleary incapable of doing such. Ana was the ONLY pleasant person, and she was drowning from the lack of support. Someone needs to step in and do something from a buisness prospective.

First & foremost, our waitress was stellar!!
I ordered a $30 prime rib, medium rare. It came extremely well done, dry as a bone with absolutely no flavor at all. Our server offered to return it to the kitchen, but not being a fan of spit in my food, I declined. I took it back to our hotel & fed my dog. Server was so sweet bringing dressing for my salad & butter for my “loaded” potato. She did get busy & never refilled our drinks. I never expect much from chain restaurant mixed drinks, but don’t waste a penny. Watered down fruit juice has more flavor than any of our drinks had. So disappointing to have a $165 meal ruined with an inedible prime rib.

13 years ago my wife and i moved right down the street from this restaurant and have been regular loyal customers literally eating there 100s of times . Tonight we learned that Ana has been demoted from bartender to waiting tables. It's impossible to express how disappointed,bewildered and confused we are in this decision. I call her "superwoman" because of her skills at masterfully running a busy bar. Sometimes the food isn't that great but her smile and skill set always made us keep coming back. I think this decision will be regretted next summer when you're swamped.
Unfortunately we will not be guest to this restaurant until she is reinstated. We will also not be able to recommend this establishment to friends,visitors or customers of ours. I hope that someone from corporate would look into this situation because they obviously don't understand how valuable of an employee she is and how hard it is to find capable, quality and experienced employees like her in Dare county. I look forward to hearing that she has been returned to her previous position. Until then you won't get any money from us and we're gonna tell everyone we can not to go there.

I was looking forward to this BUT the food quality was awful! We got steak and it was super chewy, and the ribs stuck to the bones, the fries tasted freezer burnt, the salad was wilted, they didn’t put shrimp in our salad when we paid for it, and they gave you four tubs of butter for a potatoe and a half tub of cheese and sour cream. We were all very disappointed and don’t feel like we will dine here again.

Super shocked tonight , the Greatest Bartender Ana no longer works in the Bar anymore, she has been works in this outback Bar over 20 years, Have no idea what is going on . The reason we keep coming back because of her , food is ok, Will love to see her back to bar again.

Worst night Ever!!! Bad News BEST bartender((Ana) has been move to server position started Monday . My husband and I have been coming to this restaurant for over 8 years, my husband has been coming to this restaurant for over 16 years, we are locals and come at least twice a week to see our best bartenders( Ana) . She has been working this outback over 20 years, the reason that we came so often because her. That all changed in three months ago because a new manager came in, she decided to move Anna to server this Monday. That is unbelievable , the New manager said that Anna was not a good person,OMG how could that be true?!!! This is small island and small community, over 100 local customers knew about Ana , the reason people came because of her, sweet lady and good Mom took care of the family,We think New manger made the wrong the decision, and Hope company will consider Move Ana back to the bar . She bring our happy, Joy , it matter to our community and over 100 locals . And Always love outback because her.
