Awesome place for simple easy meals. Hatteras Chowder is the best, has me hooked years ago! Crab cake was all crab - no cake! Awesome! Fries are great! Awesome sweet tea. Well run establishment - 88 years. This is what OBX is about!

You have to eat here. Update: We will no longer be eating at Sam and Omie's because they stopped selling fried clams, which were the best thing on the menu. We've eaten here multiple times a year for 30+ years. Our dog is named Omie. Never again, they are now dead to us.

In my wife's opinion no trip to the outer banks is complete with out stopping by Sam & Omie's for their She Crab Soup! I skip around their menu and have never been disappointed what I've got. They know how to cook seafood!

She crab soup Cleary says its 5.99. Well I got two pints and it was $30! I called and they put me on hold to only to hear them talking about me. This is the second time this place was rude to me. If your not local dont bother They do not like visitors and you will be treated poorly. Many other good restaurants around here that welcome everyones business! Never again!

This restaurant is loved by the locals so we gave it a try for breakfast. The service was subpar and the food was ok. My grandmother found a bug in her biscuits and gravy. To the restaurants credit they did comp all our drinks and her meal. Probably won’t be going back.
