Stopped in on the last day of vacation and absolutely loved it! Good service and great food! Everything tasted super fresh. Can’t wait for the next visit.

Sea Chef is hands down the best dining on the Outer Banks! Super fresh and delicious food. Servers/bartenders/hosts are always so friendly and welcoming and service is always top notch! Cocktails are on point and I have never had any food I didn’t love while dining there! The atmosphere and views can’t be beat! I know it is a seafood restaurant, but they also have one of the best burgers I have ever had!!

Fantastic Birthday Dinner! Took my husband out for his birthday dinner and we had an amazing experience. He ordered the Red Drum special and I had the Tuna Steak, hands down the best tuna I’ve had on the beach! It was a super thick cut, perfectly cooked, and seasoned just right. We started with the hush puppies, which came out piping hot and were served with delicious honey butter, such a treat! For dessert, my husband had the lemon pie and I had the banana pudding. Both were the perfect sweet finish to a great meal. The atmosphere was casual and welcoming, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy. We’ll definitely be back!

Speckled Trout was phenomenal as was the She Crab Soup! We had lunch at the bar while Princess Josie served up great drinks, Southern charm and a warm personality during our visit. Can’t wait to dine here again when we return to Oregon Inlet and Cape Hatteras in the Spring! Keith & Martha

Sit on the deck watching the fishing boats come in and unload your dinner! Most seafood restaurants don't actually sell local seafood, but the chef here is committed to supporting the local fishing community. Oysters are from the waters right outside. Even the kids fried shrimp platter are local green tails and the best I've ever had. The clams with sausage and cilantro, OI pie, and banana pudding delicious. Everything is as fresh as you can get. This place is a local treasure.

Fabulous food and service. JOSIE was lovely and gave us great suggestions. We had a delicious calamari appetizer, with an Asian flare. Calamari were cooked perfectly. We ordered 2 salads, a chopped and sea chef, which we ended up taking home. They were very fresh and portions were generous. The shrimp burger was amazing, and the special seafood pasta dish had a good variety of seafood and a tasty marinara. We visited in the evening, so we couldn't totally appreciate the great view at the location. Would return for sure when visiting OBX. Highly recommend.

I have been wanting to try this restaurant for awhile. We have a beach house in Avon and met our friends from Kitty Hawk here for dinner. Beautiful view, we had a sweet, friendly waitress. We ate dinner outdoors. The food we ordered was perfectly seasoned and perfect quality. Our cocktails were also excellent. We will definitely be back. Thank you!

I was so excited that the new building at Oregon Inlet included a restaurant so we could not wait to try it.

Well, Sea Chef was even more than my expectations. We went over for a quick lunch, but I would love to return for a more leisurely stay. The food is gourmet-level fantastic, but the atmosphere is super chill. You can have table service or order at counter and they bring it out to you. Indoor and outdoor seating.

It was a gorgeous day, so we opted to eat outside, looking over the inlet and boats coming in. Off the back deck, they have cornhole and additional tables with umbrellas.

The nice woman at the counter suggested the shrimp burger, and she did not steer me wrong. It was the best seafood sandwich I’ve ever had in my life. Perfect texture, seasoning, crunchiness of the bun… I loved it. Hubby has a burger which I did not get a photo of bc he devoured it.

I’m already looking forward to coming back over and over and trying everything! I’ll be back the first week of Dec and hope you guys are still open!

We ate here because we could walk from the campground across the highway. I can say now I would drive here regularly from anywhere in the Outer Banks. The food was amazing. The view from the deck was fantastic. We ended up getting waited on by the chef/owner and had an opportunity to talk to him for a few minutes. The whole experience was absolutely outstanding.

The Shrimp Burger!!!!!! OMGOODNESS!!!!! The Chef is “Genius”….the Asian profile of the Shrimp Burger is 5 star!!!! Also, he is a super nice and friendly person and I wish him all the best and much success with the restaurant. Will definitely be a repeat customer!!!!

I've been patiently waiting to try this place all year. It was worth the wait. I didn't even have time to take pictures of the the food, I was so excited to try it. We got the Carolina crab soup to start. So rich and flavorful. I ended up with the Captain's Platter because I wanted to try a little of everything and my S.O. got the crab cake BLT.
For the Captains platter: When I say everything was cooked perfectly, I'm not remotely exaggerating. I've never had calamari that wasn't rubbery. This was SO tender and flavorful. The crab fritters were divine, just all lump crab and fried to a perfect crispness. Best hushpuppies I've had ( and I tend to get them everywhere), not dry at all. Clams were wonderful (nothing fancy but cooked well). Lastly the shrimp, you can tell they're fresh, perfectly cooked and seasoned. You get 4 little sauces, cocktail, tartar, remolaude and some delicious vinegar-y, slightly Asian citrus stuff that is good on everything. I almost feel bad that I only ate a few fries, but those were also good.
According to s.o., crab cake blt was delicious as well.
We got the O.I. Beach Pie and Banana Pudding for dessert, if you ha e room, I highly recommend!
If you are lucky, you also get to see the fisherman come in with some fresh catches. Also for what it's worth, this is a "counter service" place. You don't have a server, per say, but you order at the counter, and they bring out your food.
