Let me preface this by saying that I try not to leave bad reviews- if a place intentionally handles mishaps, I don’t ding them for mistakes. We placed a pickup order for 12pm. We came in at 12 with no one else in the restaurant and surprised the gentleman working, who began cooking it then. No apologies or acknowledgement of the oversight, just sort of an “oh shit” moment and he hurriedly starts cooking.
We stood and waited for 15 minutes and watched the gentleman cook, his hands often touching his nose and mouth. We received our order: fried scallops, coconut shrimp and fried okra were all good. The blackened mahi sandwich came out not blackened, but instead burned from the grill. Tasted like burnt toast.

Food was pricey and mostly average — good fries. Fish sandwich was pretty wet, the slaw really sweet and seemed soggy/wet/tired in a way, coconut shrimp are really greasy but good.
Would like to start out that I went here during the off season (last week of December). Location is nice, and right on the water. Only one guy was working at noon and it was actually busy.. I felt bad for him. Food was decent, but not the quality I was expecting from a fish market. We ordered the coconut shrimp which was good, but the mahi platter and sandwich we ordered were sub par. Maybe the regular season is better.

THE WORST crabcakes I have ever had! Overpriced and just claw meat with a LOT of breading!! Will not be returning.

Strictly locals reasonable prices for this area not fancy and pretty small. Great service and ambience.

Literally some of the best steamed crab we've had on the OBX. Incredible view of the water and it's so laid back and the employees seemed happy to be there and working which always makes us feel like it's a company to support. DEFINETELY a go to anytime we come now!

Loved the grilled shack platter! Great seafood at reasonable prices… friendly, fast service, comfortable and casual beachy atmosphere. Outdoor seating… dog-friendly. Eat-in or carry-out.

Absolutely the best soft shell crabs! Cooked to perfection. My family ordered various entrees. All were very happy. A definite, Yes!
When we first walked in we weren't sure because it wasn't what we expected. But the food and the service are great! We enjoyed everything we ate!

Did this place change ownership? I've stopped here for years, but today was bad!!! 1 sick little girl, 1 sick adult man and 1 sick woman. The food was terrible. Those of us that ate other places are fine. Also, the fish of the day was barely cooked and the fries were cold. The empty parking lot should have been my clue to pass this place up.
