Would really be appreciated if you felt like closing early to update your Google hours. Says y'all are open till eight but guess you decided to close early? Never got to experience whether or not this place has good food Because apparently they make their own hours?

We ordered 2 whole chickens 3 Mac & cheese, and a French fry. My wife and 4 kids (23,21,17,15). Wish we would have found this place sooner. Chicken was outstanding! Sides were great!

The fried chicken was really good & juicy! It was really crowded so I felt bad for the two employees having to cater to everyone, but they did a wonderful job! The coleslaw was bland, which was disappointing.

While visiting the OBX, my wife had a taste for fried chicken. We found the Cookshak while conducting a Google search and figured we would give it a try. The chicken was moist and Juicy inside but crunchy on the exterior. The seasoning on the coating was extremely tasty. I have eaten many pieces of fried chicken in my lifetime, but this was definitely one of the best pieces that I have ever consumed. I enjoyed the chicken so much that we purchased a "whole bird" to take back home with us. We will definitely return when we visit the OBX again.

Another review mentioned that chicken fingers are large. They definitely are the largest I've ever seen. They come in qty's of 5,10, or 20. Save some money and figure 2 pcs max per adult. Thats all both me & wife could eat (6 left over). Good flavor & moist.
