Hwy 55 Burgers Shakes & Fries

I stopped going to this location due to poor service and poor food quality 4-5 years ago. Don’t know why I stopped there after a Funeral visitation; looking for something different from the same old same old fast food. Much to my surprise, this location was under the management of a gentleman by the name of Aaron. He has changed things in this location for the best. The quality of the food was great; the best ole fashioned Grilled Hot Dogs and Hamburgers in Nash County/Rocky Mount area. Also the service is top notch, with all the servers and Aaron checking on you to make sure everything is good or if you kneed anything else. Aaron seems to take pride in his work and customer service. His dedication is reflected in the attitude and service from his cowokrkers. Keep up the Great work! And if you haven’t been there in a while like me, give Aaron add his staff a chance!

Went in for dinner and they were super busy, however we were able to be seated immediately. Chloe was our server and she was awesome! We didn’t have to wait for our drinks and she always made sure we were taken care of and even gave my little brother a kids car and ice cream. If you come here, make sure to get her. She will give you the best service. As far as the food.. it didn’t take hardly any time to get it out and it was delicious! We ate under $30 for 3 people.

The whole wait staff served me! Food is great here too! And they special make it for me too!! No cheese on chili fries or Hot dog weiners!!!!!

shrimp plate and lil cheesteak.. it was horrible.. I ate it but it wont good.. the shrimp was so tiny you couldn't taste meat.. it was overpriced frozen shrimp.. yall use to be so good, but not anymore..

This place is really gross. Cleanliness is not a priority here. The people are really kind but half of them don’t wear gloves are literally touching EVERYTHING without gloves: meats, pickles, cheese, onions. I was sitting there watching and got so grossed out I decided not to eat. The bathrooms are pretty gross too. Good wasn’t that great.

I usual don't leave reviews, but this is about a young man named Aaron. He works at the highway 55 in Nashville NC. I'm a regular, sometimes a few times a week. But this man stood out, because it was really busy. He was waiting on 3 people's orders at the same time, running the register, and keeping the cooks and waitresses on their toes. He was very polite, but made sure each person know about the timeline on their orders. He walked them out, held the door (which they all do), and was very calm and polite. All the staff at this store are amazing, but he seemed like more of a boss or manager. Very interesting to watch how he held all that together, but he did. Had lunch with my grandma the waitress was not very friendly she got our order wrong and blamed it on us. She asked my grandma if she had dementia and if she new Jesus which I felt was very inappropriate to do especially with other customers in the restaurant
I feel she shouldn’t ask anybody what their religious beliefs are

Called to order for my kids and myself. The phone was answered and I was put on hold immediately. I was literally on hold for 20 mins while listening to 2 servers take orders and send orders out. After 20 mins..they hung up on me. Not happy at all with this experience and I have no plans on returning.

We heard all the hype about the Nashville store's new owner & the massive clean up, so we decided to give it a try. I had to fight flies the entire time; they were even lighting on my ankles! Additionally, the floors were filthy. It appeared they had not been cleaned for quite sometime; the ring of gunk on the floor by the gumball machine was disgusting & I'm not sure when the counter was last scrubbed down.
We love hwy 55 & eat at the Tarboro store frequently, but I'm not sure I'll visit this one again any time soon.
