Such a cute little vineyard in NC. Husband and wife owned, they grow their own grapes and make all the wine themselves. This is the only path of distro, so be sure to buy a bottle or two when you leave. They have easily THE BEST Chardonnay - steel cask, interesting and much better than a usual chardonnay. This from a non Chardonnay drinker. Worth the visit.
A true gem of a small winery. Don't let the drive in dissuade you. The ambiance of the outside patio is excellent. Wonderful view of the mature trees and the vines. The wines are truly world class. We sampled only the reds as they are made with estate grapes and we favor the reds. From the Cabernet Sauvignon to the Maestro, they were each rich and unique in flavor. We tasted the 2018 vintage. What an amazing experience! Mary was warm and welcoming, she immediately made my husband and I feel right at home. The wines were delicious, what a hidden gem tucked away in McDowell County. If you are a fan of delicious, Bordeaux style dry wines, this is the spot for you! Beautiful scenery, delicious wines, and a welcoming atmosphere. We are already looking forward to visiting again!
