The food here is wonderful! We had Bay Leaf cater an event for our daughter's wedding and everyone raved! It is one of our favorite spots in New Bern and love to eat there when we visit family!

We came in near the afternoon closing. The staff was exceptional, and the experience was akin to being welcomed into someone's home. Exceptional menu and taste beyond compare.
The perfect location for a romantic evening with your dinner date(s) (i went w my fiance and daughter). We were craving Indian food and as we arrived, the ambiance was so warm and welcoming. The lady, which i assume is the owner, was so kind to my daughter which made me realize this was probably a family-owned restaurant which makes you always feel a bit more warmer inside. The food was sooooo yummy. Infused with so many different delicious flavors, we were so impressed. I got the Chicken Tikka Masala and my fiance got the Lamb Shahi Korma, both of our dishes with a side of rice and garlic naan and we were so impressed!! This is definitely a staple on our list of date locations! TRY ITTTT

This is my favorite place to eat in New Bern. It's a family place and you feel it when you eat there. That is why the service is hit or miss and it can take just a smidge too long. So don't go in a hurry, and the service is part of the personality.

Food is great but watch the automatic gratuity which is higher than 20% and then they bring the bill after the automatic gratuity has been added but it has ANOTHER gratuity spot in case you are not paying attention AND THEN THERE IS A FEE for not using cash that is automatically included so pay attention.

I am leaving a review because Yelp reviews led me to this fantastic restaurant and I'd love to encourage others to do the same! I ordered a beer and waited for my takeout and enjoyed the lovely Saturday night atmosphere. We ordered the salmon tikka with Masala sauce on the side, the began khas, vegetable samosa, bhindi do-paiza, Achaea, chana masala, and the navrattan korma. Of course we had the naan and gulab jamun as well. I've lived all over the world and this Indian food is some of the best I have ever had!
