We had such a great time at our wedding at Carolina Colours! Ken was so responsive and answered any questions I had (which was a lot). He worked with us so we were able to have our rehearsal and wedding here with only one minor hiccup (the bridal suite was locked and there was only one or two keys, but we got in and didn't budge from the day's timeline). It's one of the more affordable wedding venues in eastern North Carolina! The indoor and outdoor spaces were beautiful and we couldn't have been happier with the venue. They had their Christmas decor up for the holidays, but they made sure to use neutral colors in the ballroom so it wouldn't clash with our wedding decor. When we first went in, Ken was kind and very helpful in explaining all that we needed to know. He even gave us a list of different vendors he recommended we use for the day! I would highly recommend Carolina Colours for an event venue in New Bern, NC.

A great facility our Christmas party was very nice.

The place is beautiful but our meetings and conversations with Ken were rushed bc he was busy.I was able to decorate the night before my wedding and scheduled our rehearsal but our conversation was so rushed that there was miscommunication about rehearsal/dinner.the night of my rehearsal dinner was also the same night as members dinner so my family was not allowed to interact with the guest.but all of my decorations were place and yet the members were allowed in the dinning area and they were touching all of the decorations.the day of my wedding there were fake blue flowers all over the ground where the area were my wedding was hadn’t been cleaned since the prior wedding.yet I was told I could only have real flowers outside due to the pond pump so why were there fake BLUE flowers on the ground in front of the steps and the arch and that was definitely not my color..the day of my wedding I was told I should have been charged for the bar living room since I had to move my family there for the rehearsal dinner.ken said he didn’t know i was going to have a dinner but yet in my notes from our very rushed 10 minute meeting 2 weeks prior he said we can have whomever cater or bring in our own food..like I said if our meetings and conversations weren’t so rushed it would have been better planned and organized. I’m was not happy but it was still beautiful bc my family made it beautiful.but bc me and my family were treated poorly the day before my wedding and the club members were treated better,and allowed to be in a room I paid for and to touch my decorations and table settings,I give a one star..

The course is ok, not particularly well maintained considering the growing season. I am an equity member with the course and wish I was not. Feel scammed on my purchase.
Making this post as a PSA so that others do not fall into what appears to be a scam.
Bought the membership with an expectation I could liquidate at my desire for 75% of my investment or current price for a membership. When I asked to do so they referenced some by-laws that I was never given nor presented.
Additionally, I was attempting to build there at colours and was swindled by my builder, who was of course recommended by the management. The experience was about $47000 a law suit against me and some Ill will from the management. To be fair The management did help me to some extent, but using their help would only cost me an additional $100,000 to get what I had already paid for. I think they waived my resale fee, made me laugh. It all seemed very suspicious in Retrospect and a bit of a scheme with the real estate office, preferred/recommended builders and the equity membership. Ugh. I may not have been cheated but sure feel that way.
Don’t buy or build here. It looks nice and everyone associated with the business appears friendly, not the case. As an owner/former owner I feel very comfortable with the recommendation.
Buyer beware.

BIL lives here. We visited from New England and are definitely considering a move. Especially nice community with nice people

The wedding venue is all the way at the end of the road in the golf Pavillion building. An excellent place for a wedding very beautiful outside, the reception was well handled and the food was delicious. One of the best weddings I've ever been to.
