Excellent service, delicious and fresh, well prepared and presented. Devine environment, both romantic and relaxing, not super loud, you can actually enjoy a conversation. We will be back. The Mac and cheese rivals that of Mike's Farm, aka it's absolutely amazing. The steak is the best I've had in New Bern ever(37 years). Absolutely great work chef and staff!
We were in town for my wife and sister's birthday. We made reservations with specific instructions for our dinner. I spoke with Cassy, I believe, to make the arrangements. She assured us our experience would be pleasant and delivered. After an afternoon of boating we walked over from B dock and made first contact around 3:30ish with the blonde bartender on duty. She was pleasant and made us feel welcome even though we were early for our 4pm reservation. We were then greeted by our server whose name started with a T. I can't remember the full name. However, she was very pleasant and attentive. She even moved us from the side of the deck with too much sun to the more shaded side and set the table to my requested specifications, including fresh flowers and name cards for the birthday girls. She was consistently attentive and genuine. The food to our expectations and timely. I enjoyed the Seafood Risotto! Our entire party was pleased and will definitely return. We referred the Confluence to our marriage ministry at church and will be back in November. Thank you for being a part of a wonderful weekend in New Bern NC!

The oh so heavenly, spicy truffle Calamari is just one of the strokes of genius by Executive Chef Tony and his team of Chefs Lein, Cedric and Kirk at the Confluence Riverfront Restaurant in the DoubleTree Hotel. The inspired menu, exquisite preparation and engaged waitstaff make this restaurant a standout in New Bern. And, being served on the spacious deck overlooking the Marina is an extra treat. There are so many winners on this menu, but you have to try the Three Spats Oysters, and the Verlasso Salmon on a bed of perfect risotto. Also, did I mention the Calamari? It’s the best EVER! As a world-traveled former chef, I can say that with conviction. Confluence definitely deserves your attention.

Get the Blue Crab Nachos.
You’re welcome.
Went for the breakfast buffet and it was superb, even though the cost was relatively low. Very good coffee. Well prepared scrambled eggs, with and without onions and peppers choice. Grits were top knotch, thick and creamy. Flavorful sausage and bacon. Ate outside with a beautiful view of the marina.

6 dishes came out cold, only six people in resturant. Pork Belly Awefull. Food was below average. Outside area for drinks very nice.
We went to the Confluence for Easter Brunch and it was phenomenal. The staff went above and beyond. There was meat and meat carving station, Bloody Mary bar, Easter bunny and an Easter egg hunt for the kids. 10/10
This is the second time that we visited the New Confluence Restaurant at the Doubletree. It was absolutely delicious both times. Since they opened under new management, and I am pretty sure a new chef, it has totally changed. Very upscale menu with delicious options. I had the House special, which was a Fettuccine Alfredo infused with blue cheese, chunks of delicious steak, mushrooms, and topped with arugula. Very unique and a large portion. I’m literally eating the leftovers right now. Try it out

My wife and I went here on Saturday night. It was our second visit and both times the food was phenomenal. It is a really nice waterfront setting and a pretty dining room. We look forward to coming back again and bringing friends.

We came to Confluence for my birthday on 3/13/24 and I will say that we were severely dissatisfied. From the time we walked in to the time we left, it wasn’t what we expected at all. We walked in by where the bar is and the bartender looked at us numerous times and walked by us and never directed us. We had no idea we were to seat ourselves or that they had an actual dining room a little further down the hall until the waitress told us. The waitress was good. No complaints there but we still stood around for 3-4 minutes before someone even acknowledged us. We ordered spinach artichoke dip for appetizer and it was just alright. Had a funky after taste. Had no seasoning or anything to write home about. We then ordered our entrees, which consisted of seafood risotto and the prime rib special. ABSOLUTELY NO FLAVOR in the meals. Just bland and mediocre. I was also informed that the crab in the risotto is from a can which is sad since we have fresh blue crab. The prime rib was severely over cooked and had no actual flavor. Just a disappointment all around for 135$ with a tip.
Good food, great service and Beautiful view.

Good food and great service!
I am vegan, by choice. I asked for the vegan menu options. Chef Tony personally came out to ask what I liked and I could modify anything on the menu. I challenged him to 'surprise me' with the caveat that he must bring something that inspired him and to not be afraid to be creative and really tap into his passion for food. No other restrictions.
He personally served the plate and explained it. It was absolutely amazing!! The flavors and presentation were out of this world!!! They were deep, exciting and had the perfect touch of heat. This vegan curry noodle dish needs to be on the menu, even if only served a few times a year! Did I mention the amazing flavors?! Absolute perfection.
Chef Tony is phenomenal and understands how food can be more than a culinary experience. Thank you for this great experience and I will return again and again! I hope this challenge inspired him and his team.

All the food was bland, and cold. Everything had to be sent back. When the new food was brought back half the food was gone. The bread was burnt and had the most flavor. When we complained the waitress had an attitude. We only ate it because we were hungry. My Aunts birthday dinner was ruined because of this place. We will not be coming back.
