Confluence Riverfront Restaurant & Lounge

This is my favorite restaurant in downtown. They have plenty of options and staff are always welcoming.

The food and view were absolutely outstanding! The chef made a special visit to each table after dinner, which added a classy touch to the experience. The dishes are consistently delicious, showcasing remarkable flavors. While the service could use a bit of improvement, the breathtaking view and absolutely delicious food truly made the evening memorable.

Fantastic food, fantastic view, fantastic chef!!!!!!

We started off with the spinach and artichoke dip, which was delicious, but that’s where the good review ends. The server seemed upset that we were there and wanted us to hurry up and leave. The lobster ravioli tasted as if it was frozen and then microwaved, and the beef Alfredo tasted as if the meat was bad/ had expired, but the pasta along side it was good. We also caught the server killing a roach right outside of the kitchen doors. Definitely not worth the $75 we spent. But if you don’t mind any of that, this is a great place to eat. Jk I wouldn’t wish this on anyone.

Attended a pre-planned dinner for over 50 people. We had even pre-selected our entrees so they would be sure to have enough. It was a disaster! There were not enough servers and food came out 1 or 2 dinners at a time and it was lukewarm. Seemed like it took forever for everyone to be served. My partner and I finished our meals and plates were cleared before most others were even served. The worst part came afterwards when folks wanted to pay their check and leave - we asked and waited, and waited, and waited. It was now 10 pm and people were getting angry. We were finally told to go wait in line at the restaurant cashier and tell her what we had ordered. WHAT ??? No apologies, nothing — seemed like nobody knew what they were doing. Never again! Confluence lost over 50 possible repeat customers.

The chef is excellent. The meals were fantastic and the staff were wonderful.

Donna, Kelly, and the incredible chef & staff went above and beyond accommodating us for my daughter's birthday lunch. They served flatbread pizzas, macaroni and cheese, burgers, fries, and desserts, buffet style, and everything was delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant and am forever grateful that they made my daughter's celebration so special.

I tried this place for my birthday dinner. The hostess was apparently new and was also trying to be a waitress for tables, to go orders, and orders taken for rooms (its inside double tree hotel). Took a bit to receive water, asked for sweet tea which was never brought. The Chef was running back and forth and serving food. I actually asked him for calamari. It wasn’t anything special. I was at the restaurant until 8pm and never was got to order an entree and people were finally showing up to help the hostess.

They took over 40 minutes to bring us food we did not even order. We had to beg for scraps despite being the 2nd table to arrive on open. 3 Other tables got food before us despite ordering after.

Excellent service, delicious and fresh, well prepared and presented. Devine environment, both romantic and relaxing, not super loud, you can actually enjoy a conversation. We will be back. The Mac and cheese rivals that of Mike's Farm, aka it's absolutely amazing. The steak is the best I've had in New Bern ever(37 years). Absolutely great work chef and staff!

Wonderful place to have a romantic dinner. Lindy, our waitress was fabulous. Cedric, who was the chef that evening did a fabulous job. Our food was cooked to perfection. This should be your first choice for dining when you come to to New Bern. We ate there tonight and will go back tomorrow!
