Bestie & I specifically came to New Bern to geocache & I had 2 places in mind for lunch and luckily for us, the other spot was closed. I say luckily because the brisket burger we both had has to be one of the best tasting, and juicy, burgers I've ever had. The truffle fries arrived hot and delectable. What makes this burger special is I do not care for any pink in my burger and most folks will testify it drains all the flavor and juices out of the burger. That was NOT the case here. I requested the 257 sauce be OTS & replaced with mayo. Julie asked if it would be ok if the mayo came out in a ramekin, which I said would be fine. Most times a server won't take that extra time to ask that & Julie got extra points for that. Prior to our burgers I ordered the ham & herb focaccia & it arrived hot, crispy on the outside but soft and pillowy, like lying on an edible down comforter. The vinaigrette that accompanied the bread was a delightful dip, sweet & tart at the same time. To finish our lunch off we had bread pudding. Y'all, if you're ever on the fence about having it after a full meal, get it. The bread was so light it was unexpected. I made sure to leave room for dessert & because the bread was so light, I ate almost my entire half.
The vive here was low key but classy. We were in the side dining room with only a few other diners & it was like being in your own living room.
Julie was one of the best servers ever. Attentive but not hovering. Always there to refill our waters without asking, personable and friendly but respectful and as she handed my card back she pronounced my last name correctly. She gets extra points for that as it doesn't happen often.
All in all, I would come back to New Bern just to dine here. I told my husband it was so good I wanted to return soon for dinner with him or maybe brunch so we can try the breakfast pizza.

Stopped in during the busy classic car show just because of a sign outside that said something about pumpkin pie cheesecake and was instantly transported into a serene and surprising atmosphere. Never got around to ordering the cheesecake and now have to come back. Our waitress Deena was extremely professional, knowledgeable, helpful and considerate and really just had a way of making us feel so at home. The bread pudding was out of this world amazing. The pizza was delicious as well and everything is made from scratch, not too oily or greasy, so many fresh and vibrant flavors.

This is a fun restaurant, they put a lot of effort into the food and it shows I have never had anything that wasn’t spectacular. The prices are a bit higher, but it really shows through the quality of the drinks and the food, it’s always been worth the price tag. The only downfall is that the seating is not the most comfortable and throughout the many times I’ve visited the service has always been subpar, but with the quality of the food in the drinks I have always left happy. I definitely recommend having a reservation if you’re coming around dinner time or honestly anytime as this place can get busy. 8/10 it would be a 10 out of 10 if they got their service shored up.

Favorite restaurant in New Bern. Really quality food and service. Menu changes all the time. They have an old world European cuisine mixed with American themed menu. Seriously was impressed. Strawberry cake was incredible

I went to Cypress Hall to celebrate my 40th Birthday with my family and I had a wonderful evening! It started with the hostess being extremely friendly and wishes me a happy birthday and continued to check on my family and I throughout the evening. The server was absolutely amazing. She provided quality recommendations, ensured we were taken care of and made sure I had a drink (smoked old fashion! Amazing). We started with some of the appetizers deviled eggs, pimento cheese with pork rinds and the sea bass. Each dish had great flavor and tasted amazing. My entrée was the clams and linguine which was very good. Also, the expo would come and check on my family and I to make sure we were doing good. Overall eating there on 08/28 absolutely made my birthday special. The team of individuals that ensured we were taken care of are some of the best quality food service professionals I had ever seen! I highly recommend this place and will continue to eat there. Thank you to the Cypress Hall team that working on the evening of 08/28!

Place is really nice but I did walk past it at first not knowing the area. I did make a reservation which is the way to go since parking is limited and so is seating. The food was good and the pizza reminded me of being back in New York. Definitely a place to checkout.

Cypress Hall is a great place to go and have absolutely wonderful meal with friends, family, or business gathering. Food is always excellent and service is outstanding. You will probably need reservations to get in that's how good it is.
