Famous is our favorite place to eat in New Bern. The food is always delicious and the service is top notch. Today, Kimberly was our server and took excellent care of Becky and me. She was prompt, considerate, friendly and just a delightful addition to our time spent at Famous! You can’t beat Famous for food and customer care.

Famous bakery should be more famous than it is. Having some of the best pastry’s I have had in a long time. I got their baklava as well as cinnamon buns and they were both delicious. With great jolly service making sure we had what we needed. And some immaculate designing of the interior of the space. With many mirrors on the upper deck with lots of seating and a water jug you can get water as well as utensils and napkins. Overall an amazing bakery that everyone should try.

I can still taste our wedding cake flavors to this day!! Famous Bakery was such a pleasure to work with when creating our dream wedding cake as well as picking out our favorite flavors for our August 26, 2023 wedding. One of our favorite times during wedding planning was our cake tasting. My husband, my mom, my mother in law and myself all were headed to our wedding venue for a meeting when we stopped by Famous to pick up our cake tasting. Oh my goodness, they really outdid themselves. We got to the hotel and sat around each tasting and telling our favorites. This was such a fun and (delicious) experience for us! The day of the wedding, Famous delivered and set up our cake where we did not have to worry about anything. Our cake was an absolutely stunning part of our special reception. They took our vision and went above and beyond. Us and all of our guests still rave over how delicious our cake was till this day.

We only went to the Bakery. I was disappointed in the sweets I got as they weren’t anything special. They were pretty but not anything extra special. The best thing was the butter cookies. I’ll go back and try the restaurant. It was packed so it must be great.

Cheesecake. This is the place for some great cheesecake. It's super creamy and good flavor. The turtle cheesecake was my favorite.
One thing I'd like to point out, the cherry topping on the cheesecake, not a great match. Youre producing some incredible cheesecakes and that just tastes like canned cherries. I'd recommend a berry reduction and reduce the sugar glaze.
The cheesecake though is probably the best I have ever tried, no joke.
Went there for Fathers Day for first time.
Appetizers we had mozzarella sticks and the 3 meatballs. Both delicious!
Husband had corned beef reuban I had the vegetable pizza again delicious! Got Antipasta salad to go.
Our waitress was very attentive and friendly! Will be back!

I had a sweet tooth and decided to try Famous Bakery based off their reviews. I walked in and started browsing. The girl behind the counter was not friendly at all. I felt rushed and out of place the entire time. I ended up quickly purchasing 5 items and paid $27. The only item I would ever consider trying again was the slice of Oreo cheesecake. The icing on the cupcake wasn't sweet enough for me and lacked flavor. Overall, my experience was quite disappointing!
