Such a cool place with pretty amazing food. The savory crepes were amazing and the green beans are to die for! Would definitely recommend.

Really cool new spot in Downtown New Bern. Well curated space, great beer/wine selection and everything on the menu was so fresh. Highly recommend the tempura green beans and Carolina pulled pork sandwich đŸ‘ŒđŸ» could easily spend an entire afternoon there with all the fun games available, especially when the weather turns nice enough to hang out in the garden area! 10/10 will be back!

We had a great night at the wine pairing dinner. This was our first time there. The selection of wines was great and the dinner pairings were not only delicious, but paired perfectly. We loved how knowledgeable the owner was regarding the wines that were chosen as well as wines in general. The atmosphere was warm, comfortable and inviting. We will definitely be back.

Love this place. Owners and staff are always friendly and attentive. Food is delicious; can't wait to try their newest menu.

Tempura beans are delish; Brussel sprouts delish ,(and I don't like Brussel sprouts)! The curried chicken salad sandwich is always good.

The Firefly Cafe is AMAZING! It’s an absolute MUST when in Newbern. We chose to eat here because their menu offers a large selection of gluten free options. Upon entering, we felt immediately welcomed by the staff, who took wonderful care of us. The atmosphere is cozy, warm, and beautiful. The food was incredible. We went on a Sunday for brunch and ordered the Huevos Locos Stack and the GF Pacific Northwest crepe and the flavors were delicious! But the true highlight of our visit was the owner, Sean. He stopped by our table to chat and shared his and his wife’s story with us and how they got to NC from the west coast. He shared with us how everything from the decor to the food represented their family and experiences and it was beautiful. In turn, we shared a little about ourselves and we told him we were in Newbern celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary. When hearing this, Shaun insisted on treating us to a dessert crepe based on an ice cream flavor that he and his wife share on their anniversary. It was so touching and the crepe was delicious! There is a quote my husband and I came across that reads “Nothing is really work unless you would rather be doing something else.” We both agreed that Shaun exemplifies this quote because his passion for what he is doing is so obvious. It’s easy to tell he doesn’t consider owning and operating his cafe work, because it’s so apparent there isn’t anything else he would rather be doing. 10/10 recommend the Firefly Cafe. We will certainly be back!

What a great find for us! Heading to Morehead from a few hours out we wanted to break up the drive for a bit and grab a bite, with our doggo in tow, so we found this spot on Google Maps and it was a great fit! Shawn, the owner, personally welcomed (all three) of us. Our lineup included a rose on tap, a canned porter, and three (very reasonably priced) bites from the all-day menu. We could not be more pleased with our quick visit and look forward to visiting again soon when we are back for a longer session.

My husband picked Firefly Cafe for date night. I was so excited to try it out after looking at the menu. The menu definitely stands out with so many unique options! I had the salmon crepe and my husband had the creamy pig flatbread. Both meals were excellent! The owner Sean was wonderful. He told us about his story and his goals to give back to the community and also let me try some wonderful wine. The atmosphere is extremely cozy and the decor is beautiful. We will 100% be back and next time we will bring friends! Can’t wait!

One of the best spots in New Bern! The beer garden is gorgeous, and the inside is super cozy. Great food
the pulled pork in particular is to die for! Affordable prices with great specials like the random cans on Saturdays (my favorite!). The staff is phenomenal, and Sarah and Shaun treat everyone like family. Couldn’t recommend more highly!

Beautiful scenery and the service was very nice but there was a clump of hair in my sister’s water. Not a single hair a clump
