We had The Flame Catering provide food for our wedding at The Rustic Barn, and we couldn't be happier with our choice! The food was absolutely amazing, our guests are still raving about it! Every dish was flavorful, fresh, and beautifully presented. The staff was not only professional and efficient, but also a genuine pleasure to be around. They brought great energy to the day and helped make everything run smoothly. We’re so grateful for their contribution to our celebration and highly recommend The Flame to anyone looking for top-notch catering with a personal touch.

My family went to the Flame Catering and Banquet Center for Mother’s Day, and honestly, we left disappointed. While I know buffet cooking isn’t easy, most of the food just didn’t measure up for the $39 per person price.

There were five stations: salad, hot food, seafood/Chinese, desserts, and a meat carving table. The salad bar barely had any lettuce when we got there. The main table had lots of options, but the breaded chicken was tough and most dishes looked unappealing. At the seafood/Chinese station, the egg rolls were great, but the fries were mushy and barely touched. Dessert offered plenty of choices, but the strawberries were flavorless and both the cookies and brownies were mushy. The chocolate cake was good.

On the meat table, the prime rib tasted good but was served cold, and there was no gravy. Drinks were mostly fine, but they ran out of hot tea and the coffee wasn’t fresh.

Service was friendly and efficient, though it was confusing whether to tip since we paid up front but then when we sat down the staff took our drink orders. Arriving was also confusing—there were separate lines for reservations and walk-ins, but no clear signs.

All told, we spent $156 for four people (plus tip) and felt it wasn’t worth it. This was just our experience, so maybe others had better luck, but I’d suggest weighing reviews before you decide to go.

Flame catered an event I attended today and the food was excellent. The baked salmon with pasta was perfect. Vegetables were great. Staff members were kind and helpful. And the cookies for dessert! Yummy!

Food service is one of the better ones I have encountered from New England to North Carolina. The staff is attentive polite and ensures a pleasant event.

For Thanksgiving this year my family and I decided to do things a little differently. Instead of cooking, we had dinner at a restaurant instead. My sister recommended FLAME so that's where we went, and the food was absolutely delicious. They had traditional Thanksgiving dishes buffet style and a few not-so-traditional dishes.

I had a small salad, prime rib, beef tips in gravy, mac and cheese, rice and gravy, cornbread, a fried chicken wing, and a strawberry cake for dessert. Each item exceeded my expectations.

At the end of our meal, the chef came out and spoke to us. He was very personable and I like it when the chef is confident enough to come ask you how the food was. He got no complaints from me. I'd definitely go back because the whole experience was very positive.

Highly recommend their Thanksgiving meal.
