The staff was super friendly and so very nice. We ordered our dinner and sat down. When the food was ready, they brought it out to us. I had a brown sugar milk tea that was phenomenal and helped cut the heat that I had added into my pho. As we were nearing the end of our dinner, the owner of the shop came out and shared two desserts with us. The desserts were Vietnamese Flan Cakes in the shapes of hearts with jellies on top and layered in a thin sauce of what tasted like vanilla...
The Happy Boba Cafe is one of my favorite places in New Bern! I lived in a city that had a lot of Vietnamese restaurants and always felt that New Bern was missing a good boba shop and pho options (and of course banh mi!!) and this cafe checks all of my boxes. There are tons of options and the owner and staff are super sweet!
Hands down one of the best hole in the wall Authentic Vietnamese places!
The best Vietnamese coffee and Spring rolls around, I drive religiously from Jacksonville to enjoy their food. The phon is also extremely delicious with an authentic broth.
