It was my first visit. The host at the counter was not very friendly or informative. Even when I asked her a question, she seem to not want to answer it. Didn't feel like an inviting atmosphere.

I mean the egg rolls are good but there’s roaches and the food sits out never once saw it get changed 40 something dollars for 2 people is insane for mediocre food. Ate some lo mein then had to leave cause I had a random allergic reaction🏥. Service is nice though very quiet but nobody ever really eats there it’s maybe only 9 people. Out of 60 seats.

We ate here about two years ago with our niece and enjoyed our visit. This time, not so much. The majority of the food on my plate was mushy and/or flavorless. I always get a tiny amount of everything so I can enjoy the 'buffet' experience. The salmon, the freshly cooked hibachi, and the chicken wings were the only things I could eat. It's a shame the quality of the food has decreased over the past two years, we will not be coming back for a third visit

The food was really tasty. Sushi, delicious. Quiet and clean. Didn't have to wait for a table. A little lacking in the dessert area. But still, I would go again in the future.

some of the worst food ive ever had. rice tasted like soapy water. hate that you have to pay prior to eating. seems wild to me to tip on service I've not received yet. and the price is ridiculous based on the quality of the food. gross.

Total waste of $34..
My husband and I went there and ate literally not even half a plate and left..He had sushi..he said didn't taste fresh, I tried the wasabi and it was absolutely horrible!..no taste at all..it tasted and looked like mashed potatoes...you're not supposed to be able to eat wasabi alone..js..
The wontons were mushy, the lo mien noodles were sticky and the tempura tasted like rubber..
That's all we tried and we left..
Wasn't there longer than MAYBE 10 mins..
Like I said..total waste of $34..

I used to really enjoy this restaurant when I was younger, around 16–17 years old. Now at 23, I’ve noticed a significant decline in the quality of the food. The dishes were cold and appeared to have been sitting out for an extended period of time.

I do want to acknowledge that the waitress who served us was wonderful and provided excellent service. It’s disappointing to see a place that was once great decline like this. This restaurant truly needs to make improvements and return to the quality and menu items that originally made it successful.

Unfortunately, I won’t be returning until I see meaningful changes. I paid a considerable amount for a meal for myself and my little sister, and I hope that feedback like mine will help drive improvements.

Believe the reviews. Cold food. 10% capacity filled on a Saturday night should have been the first sign. We used to enjoy this place. Not sure how it stays open.

Been here in the past(2yrs ago was the last time), loved it. This most recent visit, not so much. Some food was hot n fresh, like the battered/fried shrimp, fried rice and lo mein. Some was not so fresh, like the boiled seafood and chicken and Broccoli. Habachi is always cooked to order, hot and fresh, but the chef used to much seasoning. Not just my plate but seemed to be the theme was our orders. Oh and noticed they charged a 12% sur-charge for not using cash as payment AND there is no notice of this anywhere on the front doors or at the register...

The wait staff was friendly and attentive, welcome us with a smile and polite hi and continued throughout the visit.

I will probably go back to try it again at some point with the hopes the food quality was just a bit off this last visit. Also I will pay in good ole American cash to avoid that nasty, ridiculous CC surcharge

Not from New Burn and first and last time we eat here. Don't waste your time and money here! Pay before anything else. Never been to a place that you had to pay first. I know why they do that now... they would have a lot of people look at the food and turn around and walk out!! The food was hard, dry and luke warm. it had to have been sitting out for a while. Nothing was replaced or refilled in the 30mins we were there. The only thing that wasn't dry or hard was the mushrooms and the sesame chicken and it had set in the juice so long it was soggy. Two women employees watched you try and find something in the middle that wasn't hard or dry, after you walk away they go push it back together to hide the dryness. The server was the best part, she did keep our tea filled, which was good. The hibachi buffet in Fayetteville North Carolina is so much better, food pans stay full and switched out it's just got a lot of business and good food. A whole lot different in New Burn.
