Jade Express - New Bern

My son picked up the food and said they were very professional. And the drinks were very good. But we ordered chicken Hibachi and the chicken was very dry and chewy. Really didn't care for it and I think the place is overrated.

I went here out of convenience & was highly surprised. At first, I laughed at the other review that said it was "a hidden gem." But it's true. It's kind of sounds ridiculous in my head that some Chinese fast food place in the mall has some amazing must-have food, but it exists, here in new Bern lol.
They were 1 out of 3 Chinese food options on UberEats that were close by. I figured I'd end with that typical "half-edible greasy mall Chinese fast-food," but was surprised when it actually reallly really good and not overly greasy. I loved the ginger chicken and the steamed vegetables as well, they were actually steamed, not covered in grease or drowned in soy sauce, and were real fresh mixed vegetables, not just a whole handful of onions. The servers are kind and the cook is good at what he does. I will definitely be back.

We just did not feel like cooking so we went to Jade Express in New Bern for dinner. What a great idea! We had the Lo Mein with Bourbon Chicken and Ginger Chicken. Deeeelicious☺. We even had enough for a 2nd meal.

HORRIBLE FOOD!
I ordered black pepper chicken, white rice amd fried rice and all of it was total GARBAGE!

I took a few bites and threw 90% of it away because it was that disgusting!

How this place even has 4.1 stars I have no ideal, but it now has 4.0 stars because of this review!

Do NOT go here for the pepper chicken or white rice and I will NEVER order any food from here again for delivery.

I just ate a cold can of peas and some canned tuna and even it was better than the garbage I bought from this restaurant.

The crab Rangoon was delicious, it’s hard finding good rangoon.i got the one meat, one side and they filled it to the max. Definitely worth the price and will be back!!

Was in town for a business trip and our company ordered lunch from here. I had the Lo Mein Noodles and Fried Rice with vegetables. Those were very huge portions. Both sides tasted really good, even the next day!

I've been going here for years and honestly they have some of the best food around...BUT service is almost always terrible. Tonight I decided to leave a review because I went in and they were out of half their options and the lady told me no when I asked them to make anymore. And they weren't even closing for over another hour. The people who work here often act like they couldn't care less and do the bare minimum to get paid. When deciding if I want the food I literally ask myself "do I want their food or do I want to be treated well?" Because I cannot get both.

Honestly they have pretty good food. Too bad the service sucks so bad. Tonight I went in and they close at 9pm. At 7 pm they ran out of teriyaki, general tsos, and like 2 sides, and refused to make more. TWO hours before closing and half their food is gone. What kind of common sense is that? This happens alot, btw. Way too often. They're losing business and major money. Somebody replies on here saying "we're sorry" but it's obvious they're not actually doing anything about it. They don't care. If they did then they would hold the employees here accountable. Sorry means actions not words. Jade express when are you going to start holding this location to higher standards??

Best asian cuisine I've had since moving to New bern. fairly priced and quick service

Food is always delicious and fresh. Customer service is exemplary. The philly steak egg roll is phenomenal. I enjoy and recommend the jalapeño chicken for those that like it spicy. The restaurant is located in a so-called mall, Twin Rivers, which does not do it any justice; sitting space is not only limited but open, meaning customers that patron mall, traffic, can be distracting to the eating experience. Other than that I rate Jade’s a 12.
