we used to love their food. today i got a ham calzone and it was not eddible. they poured so much garlic butter with italian season over the top and it was swimming in garlic butter. took it to the counter and all i got was " sorry" and was told it was my fault bc i did not ask for no garlic butter topping. the man sitting next me took one bite of his and threw it in the trash. lol.
We’re new bern natives and we come to Mario’s often. They are the real deal. My family is from NYC so I feel qualified to say this. My son and I had lunch here today and he said “This is the best pizza of my life.” He literally says this every time we come here. Hot tip: ask for the cordon bleu pizza. It’s incredible.
Pizza is the best around we are from NY on the island and the zeppoles are great!!! We drive 20 min to get a pizza here.
