Mario's Pizza New Bern

Went to pick up an order last week and a skinny white kid came from the back and threw my pizza on the counter like it was trash and gave me a nasty look. Fortunately Tiffany rectified the situation and apologized for his behavior even though she didn’t do anything wrong! This restaurant is lucky to have someone like her who can talk to the customers in such a great manner! Will be back because of her!

I ordered two side salads and was very specific NO OLIVES because we are allergic to them. Allergies are NOT a joke and to brush it off as a no biggy is NOT okay! One salad had none and the other salad was full of olives! I am pissed! This was only half of the olives we picked out a who lot more! We ended up throwing the salad away.

First time trying Mario’s Pizza and, wow… this vegetarian pizza was so bad it almost made me question my life choices. The crust had less flavor than cardboard, and the veggies must’ve taken a vow of silence because they brought zero taste to the party.

The ONLY saving grace—and the reason this isn’t a 0-star review—is the gorgeous girl at the counter who took my order. Honestly, her smile was the best seasoning this pizza ever had. Without her, this review would’ve been buried in the one-star graveyard.

So, Mario’s: keep the staff, fix the pizza.

This place is fantastic. The atmosphere reminds me of a NYC pizzeria. The girl behind the counter was so friendly and the food was delicious. I haven't tasted real pizza like that in forever. The prices are a bit high but it's worth it because the quality and taste are to die for. I came in there spending more money then I planned on spending, but I did not regret it at all. I wish I lived closer to them so I could enjoy their food more often. Definitely will be revisiting there when I'm in the area and I'm hungry. They make real authentic NY and NJ style pizza, unlike many places that falsely advertise themselves as a NY style restaurant.

I have lived all across the country after having grown up in the NYC area. Mario’s is unquestionably the best NY style slice I’ve had since leaving home. Reasonable prices, great food, and lovely people. Best Pizza in New Bern!

Pizza is absolutely amazing !! We ask for extra sauce & they always deliver on our request. Wings & garden salad were great as well. Our go to pizza place. Mario's is always consistent unlike some other pizza places.

We’re new bern natives and we come to Mario’s often. They are the real deal. My family is from NYC so I feel qualified to say this. My son and I had lunch here today and he said “This is the best pizza of my life.” He literally says this every time we come here. Hot tip: ask for the cordon bleu pizza. It’s incredible.

We typically order pizza and wings from here. It's consistently very good pizza. Sometimes a longer wait or a mixed up order, but they are quite busy and always friendly.
One evening we decided to dine in and try the pasta dishes. All were delicious, well presented, and I would recommend them.

Best pizza in town! They serve New York style pizza in my dad's from Brooklyn and he says this is the place to go! Pizza's always perfectly crisp, cheese is always melty and the toppings are delicious! They have other menu options besides pizza but in my opinion pizza is the way to go!
