My fiance and I had to come to New Bern for my drs appt. The GM lady was working by herself till 11am but she was so super sweet, friendly, clean store and bathrooms and the food was excellent. Definitely will come back again when I am in New bern.

Roach crawled out of sandwich and there were others on the bottom of the plate. Will not being going back.

I had an issue with a previous order. The manager contacted right away made good with a VIP card. Ty to the manager for the quick response.

Put incorrect food in order, wouldn’t have been an issue, but they discussed it and didn’t correct the mistake. Both potatoes ordered were identical sauces.

I hate that the service at this location has gone downhill. We tried again today, hoping for a better outcome and was sadly disappointed. We arrived at about 3 o’clock in the afternoon. There was one table that had customers. We walked up to the counter. Noone at the counter. A young man was sitting over behind the counter to the left in the door of an office or storage On his phone. He got up after a few moments and walked thru the kitchen area and went to the other side of the restaurant and sat back down. Never spoke to us. An employee in the back seemed to be working and we think she said something to us but we weren’t sure. We just stood there. I believe another employee was sitting in a booth on her phone. We continued to stand there. Noone was acknowledging us at all. We looked around and there didn’t seem to be anyone working except a young lady in the kitchen. We left! There is no excuse to enter a restaurant and noone even makes an attempt to wait on a customer.

Waited 15mins to order with only 3 people in front. Order completely messed up after reiterating it a few times, left out side orders. Faster to walk over to grocery store and make own sandwich. Will not return.

I have always loved McAlisters but I am not sure if we will ever come back to the New Bern location. The soup and sandwich were good but the brownie was molded, as were others on the counter. Manager was not very friendly or courteous. She did not acknowledge that my husband was even standing there! One of the other workers asked what he could do. My husband showed him the brownie and he was apologetic. The manager on the hand was not! She didn’t apologize or anything. Top it all off.. my husband saw a German cockroach crawling on the counter!! Where there is one, there are a lot more! Health department needs to do an inspection soon!

Usually pretty slow service but decently good food... Most of the time. Ordered a King club and lifted the top of the bun to find a piece of plastic from the bread or spring mix?? Also, I ordered it online and came in and waited 10 minutes beyond the pick up time (which was sitting behind the counter the entire time but I was unaware, so I wasted 10 minutes for nothing). It's not a massive deal, but just disappointing because this location is usually pretty good.

I got the choose 2 salad and sandwich combo. The staff was friendly and the food was great! I highly recommend the strawberry lemonade 🍋
