Paula's Italian Restaurant

Food and service was excellent. Nice salad starter followed by delicious Manicotti and Veal Parm dinners. Five stars.

Awful. Had been here a few years ago and the food was very bland and not very tasty. We got a coupon for buy one, get one and should have stayed home. Lasagna not good and the garlic shrimp was so dry I could not eat it and the garlic was burnt which lent a bitter taste to it. We are done, won’t go back.

The veal picante was great, as was the salad. Good service, quiet room. A wonderful place for a leisurely lunch.

We love Paula’s and eat there at least weekly. However, tonight one of the hostesses (Carolyn) was extremely rude to us. The only reason I didn’t leave a 1 rating is because our waitress (Audrey) was great as was the rest of the staff. The part that really bothered me is that Carolyn didn’t think she had done anything wrong and played the victim.

We were just passing through on our way to the Outer Banks and decided to stop. Food was amazing and the Atmosphere was delightful. Service was fast and friendly and prices were very good. I would definitely stop and eat there again.

My Fiancé and I went to dinner here, we love Italian food. I worked as a server in an Italian restaurant for 4 years so I’d like to think I’m pretty in tune with expectations regarding the menu and service experience. My Fiancé got the chicken tortellini carbonara and added shrimp to his dish, I got shrimp and calamari pasta, we had the small white pizza as our app, all equally delicious! Our server was excellent, we had Melissa M., I really liked how she packed up our food for us, anticipated our needs, and checked in on us just the right amount of times! Prices are great for authentic Italian food! Can’t wait to visit more and try new things!

My only suggestion would be to add more “romance” to the tables. Fresh roses, candles, something like that!

The restaurant looks very nice and even smells nice. The server was very good and always was checking on us. The food was OK, but I was hoping for better. The best thing about the meal was the bread.
