Ordered takeout for the family from here on Christmas Eve. It was busy (of course it’s a holiday) but food was still ready on time and staff was friendly. It was DELICIOUS. I’m from out of town and it was the best Chinese food I’ve had in a long time. Dishes were filled with tons of fresh veg (nothing frozen or pre-packaged), fried rice was fluffy and packed with big tender chunks of pork. Egg rolls and rangoon were crispy and well-filled. The jalapeño chicken was a standout dish to me, thick slabs of crispy chicken thigh in a savory and peppery sauce. I was seriously impressed. Definitely best Chinese I’ve had in New Bern.

Smelled like dead animal after I drove all the way to order food because phone was off the hook for ever!!! Guy slams back door to hide kitchen when I walked in!! So wonder what he was hiding??

We moved down here from the northeast and have been on the hunt for good Chinese food for a year. A year. We've tried a lot of places. Peking garden was amazing. The general tsos was crispy. The food was fresh, delicious and served fast. This is now our go to spot. Very reasonably priced.

They gave themselves a 30 dollar tip off my card and I had given them a 3 dollar tip for simple meal. I would have gone back to complain but I lost my receipt. Anyway maybe it was a mistake on their part when entering the numbers but I will never eat their again. It happen on June 25 2023
Very good meal! I had Singapore Mei Fun and egg drop soup. Food was hot fresh and nice clean restaurant. Owners were very nice and happy.

Peaking Garden has always had the BEST chinese wings in town But they closed for close to 2 months from July-September and when I found out they were open again I was excited Unfortunately they have new owners/cooks and have changed the chicken wing & egg roll recipe. It taste NOTHING like it used to. Doesn't even look the same. I've been eating here for over a decade but today will be the last time I go there. It was not good at all. So sad. Their egg rolls were ? I'll be going to Sumo bowl from now on.
