Well let me start off by saying I’m so sad to have to leave this review. We ordered last Friday and the food was amazing. We thought we had found our new Friday night take out. This Friday we order our food and wait the 30 mins to pick it up. Upon arriving they informed my husband it was almost ready. He waited another 40 minutes before he received our food. The lady with the long braids was SO RUDE. We got home to eat our food after over an hour wait. my shrimp burger that was so good the week before was burnt to a crisp!! My husbands burger was not good and they just threw his side in his plate like slop. They also substituted a cheese with out asking. My fried corn was awful!! We will not be going back ever again!

Delicious food in a casual, friendly atmosphere! Highly recommend!
Really enjoyed the food and service. Wonderful waitess that keft us talk to her Mother for clarification. Thankful for the birthday serving of fried cheesecake and ice cream. Portions are off the chart of shrimp and flounder baskets. Chicken tacos were awesome.

Awesome flavors!!! The spuds are chocked full of goodness and you get 2!!! The fried salmon is very delicious as well, with a light frying to keep the salmon fresh and beautifully pink

After planning a 45+ year move to New Bern, we’re finally here. With a house full of boxes and with pots and pans MIA, we decided to to eat out for our first dinner in town. If we could give a 10 ⭐️ review we would! We met the owner who’s also the chef, experienced super nice wait staff but best of all, our wings, baked potato, crab cakes and killer Mac and cheese was WONDERFUL! We will not be a stranger to this great little place full of delightful people and great food!

Classic soul food, best batter I have ever had for fried food, not too light, not too heavy, perfect seasoning. Wonderful service, exact atmosphere I would want and expect of a soul food place. Extremely tender catfish and perfectly cooked shrimp, very fluffy. One thing, the Mac and cheese might as well have been Mac and butter with cheese 10/10 would recommend

Finally made it to Sea & Soul for the first time last night! Our table ordered a variety of foods, the fries are DELICIOUS (I'm a fry fan!) and the service was so sweet. Looking forward to going back - there is a diverse menu, lots to try!

Our Virgin Supper Club group(because at least one of us hasn't been there before) had dinner there. All seemed to like the fare and service by Anna, and Mimi was great! I had the shrimp tacos, and while basic with no sides, they were tasty- and since it was Tuesday, it was three for the price of two! I was disappointed that they do not serve wine, but they had a great cocktail menu, and I enjoyed a few of those! We even had a visit by the owner- nice touch! I forgot to take food photos, so the one here is from my friend's shrimp ans crab loaded potato, which she said was fabulous!

We arrived at 5:45pm to see that one chef and both waitresses were outside smoking. No customers inside, so initially, we weren't bothered by it. But when we stepped inside, there was no one in the restaurant to seat us. When we were finally seated, our waitress reeked of weed. Ick! We ordered two salads, one with salmon, and they were not great. Iceberg lettuce, tons of cheese, packaged croutons - nothing special. When I was close to finishing my lackluster salad, I found a small piece of plastic wrap (likely from the iceberg lettuce) and that made me upset. We were credited for the 1 salad with plastic wrap in it, and got ready to leave. My husband used the men's room before leaving and found there was no soap or paper towels in the bathroom, so now we know the chefs are working under unsanitary working conditions. Total ick - will never return.
