Came here yesterday and got the smothered chicken entree(grilled chicken smothered with cheese, bacon, onions, mushrooms) with a side of the potato soup. It did not disappoint! It was extremely filling and well worth the price(which combined with a soda was roughly $21 all together including tax and tip.) I tried my friends sirloin too and that was amazing! Highly recommend spunkys all together.

We live in Maryland and always make sure we visit Spunky's for a meal when visiting New Bern. If you eat at a chain restaurant and not Spunky's, shame on you! Homemade soups, chili, coleslaw, shrimp salad and fresh hamburgers for grilling! Thick stacked Reubens and their loaded nachos ... truly nothing is bad on this menu and you will leave STUFFED taking a carryout container with you. Their pints are COLD and our waitress Toni was amazing. Always checking on us, making sure everything was ok and drinks full eventhough the restaurant was packed! Waiting for a table is always a sign that the food is good in a restaurant. Spunky McDoogle's doesn't disappoint. We can't wait to return to New Bern and eat here again.

Fresh, hand formed party never frozen dammit I can't find anything like this close to my house.
The bartender bill easy to talk to. He's telling us cool stuff that happens around here so I can find an excuse to drive out here and eat this awesome food.
