I think that this subway in James City is the best it's ever been. It wasn't always like this. I walked in 2 weeks ago craving a meatball sub. I was greeted by a very pleasant young woman who explained that they now honored the ads for subway! She also told me.about the automatic double cheese on sandwiches. I was so impressed with her info and told her so. She said they was a new owner , which was music to my ears. Misty was the best promoter I've ever encountered in a food service wstablishmentlike Subway

I've had pretty solid experiences coming in for lunch, everyone in there keeps a good attitude and always work fast. I've came in a few times during peak lunch rush and within maybe 5 mins at most they've already had the line knocked down. Staff especially are super friendly and been great to talk to.

I don’t really ever right reviews but I just had to get on here and say that the two ladies working today that made my sandwich were absolutely amazing!! Not only did they provide great service and greet me as soon as I walked in we actually struck up a conversation and they offered me some words of encouragement!! 10/10 experience would go back just to chat with them again!

I have always liked this James City location for a quick date lunch with my husband, but today was exceptional. The cookies were beautifully stocked and the bread was coming out of the oven, the lettuce and other toppings were freshly stocked and very appealing! The staff worked very well with each other and appeared to really like to work here. I appreciated the vibe we received today. I want to highlight both of them and say thank you for thanking us and the other customers for coming in and so effortlessly multi tasking through the lunch rush just before noon. Thanks Tae and Misty yall all the shiznick!

This place is so dirty. I was 4:00pm and went in to order, the floors were sticky the over the meat and vegetables counter was dirty, the trash area was filthy, the window when you walked in was terrible. I wanted to leave but my husband said, it’s ok. 😳
I went and ordered a meatball sub, got him 5 minutes later and took a bite and the meatballs and sauce were ice cold. No ice and the guy walked in the back and I asked several times for help and no one come back out to help. Was in the back sitting down on his phone. Done with subway for a while.

I went in there last Tuesday and was met by a rude guy so I turned around and left I went back Wednesday and was met with a delightful lady who went above and beyond to accommodate me to cut my sub in six slices. Even helped me fill my drink because I was so shaky from Parkinson’s. I was talking to my grandson about my experience and he informed me that she was assistant manager. So i had to come up here and say subway is the way to go! I just moved to the area to be with my daughter and will definitely be coming back to visit this store because of her.

The staff here were wonderful and the sandwich was made perfectly! I will definitely be eating here and NOT at the one off Glenburnie Rd. This Subway is definitely the go to for New Bern!

Upon entering the store, we were informed that they had only white bread and pepper jack cheese. They were also out of several meats. The vegetables were old and lettuce was wilted. Had a veggie sub with only few strands of lettuce. In 30 years of eating Subway, it was by far the worse experience I ever had.
