I'm giving the restaurant a five star review, mostly because I'm a nice person. We used to go here all the time. Then, they opened a second section (good for them, business is booming), and we stopped going. We had to wait for a table, were ignored by the waitstaff, and the restaurant was very loud due to a lack of soundproofing. I wish the owners the best of luck. The food is good. But the wait for it has become too long for my liking. It used to be a go-to place. Maybe when I return again, it will be better, perhaps this is just growing pains.

This definitely a local "hole in the wall" which we visited because it was rated well. The food was okay and the wait staff were fine but it was a forgettable experience. Also the walk past the not very clean looking kitchen, down an almost dingy hallway to get to the dining area was not a great first impression. I probably won't go back.

Awesome lunch with family on Friday! Food was amazing but not to be overlooked is the amazing service by Maggie, our server. Her friendliness and dedication to service was spot on! Burger, pizza, cheese curds all was super satisfactory for family of three!

I really hate spending my time writing negative reviews, but here we are.. I ordered wine and a meal. Got the wine but the food never arrived. Both my friends got salad and pizza each with no problem. The waitress never checked in with us. I asked to speak to the manager after receiving a bill for my wine and was accused of lying about the waitress stopping by. She actually accused me of checking in and not letting her know my food never arrived. I have a lot of patience, but accusing customers of lying pushes even my limits.

Good spot for families. Kids love the pizza. Was supposed to be a 12”, but looked bigger and couldn’t finish it. Bang-bang shrimp cooked just right, though served with a bottled sauce and slaw was not freshly made. Vegetarians don’t have much to choose from on the menu. Service slow — lots of TVs and noise. Parking lot is small.

Food was awful. Lasagna cupcakes were cold. Food was barely edible. Don't waste your time or money. They need a better chef and the floor manager needs some food handling training. When someone takes a bite of their food and tells you it is cold you do not take it to the kitchen heat it up bring back and take it again. It has been eaten on. That should not be returned to the area where you are preparing food it goes in the garbage.

I am from Miami, and I have found the best cuban sandwich I have ever tasted in New Bern, North Carolina. The sandwich is fresh and taste better if you eat it while it’s warm. You will not regret eating at the Beartown.

Chicken BBQ & Hot Honey Pizza were so good. Been in NC for 7 months now and it has taken that long to find a Pizza I will return for. Staff is so incredibly kind. Didn't meet the cook, however, I would say someone needs a raise!

Heard it can be tough getting in here so we popped in around 3:30 on a Saturday afternoon. One of maybe three tables seated. So it worked out great. Our server Taylor was fantastic. Great personality made it fun. The wife and I kept it simple and ordered a cheesesteak with fries and a calzone. My daughter tried the lemon Fresca scampi.Everything tasted great, the calzone was stuffed and my picky daughter really enjoyed her pasta dish. Cooked al dente, just the right amount of garlic butter and lemon. Owner came out and asked us how everything was which is nice. Don’t get a whole lot of the old school hospitality anymore. Will definitely be back.
So, we tried several times to get in here on our way back from the beach but it was always packed. We finally got lucky and had lunch here. I'm glad we kept trying because it was really, really good. It's certainly not the fanciest place you've ever seen but the food is excellent! The staff treated us like family and the service was as good as anywhere I've ever been. I just had the Wedge Salad but it was amazing, and so was everything else that my family ordered! We will stop here every chance we get! I'm getting that salad again!

Had about a 10 minute wait. Friendly staff. Waitress was right there immediately after we sat. She was efficient and very friendly. Food was very good.

Food was decent standard quick Italian fare. Menu on the small side but something for everyone. Very large portions. Good for a quick bite.

Delicious food. I had shrimp and grits pizza. It was yummy. Plenty for two meals. Everyone enjoyed their meals. There were a lot of good things to choose from. Prices are good for the amount of food too.

We found this place quite by accident and it was a good find. My husband and I shared the 14 inch Kitchen Sink pizza. We were full and had plenty left over to bring home. The beer was nice and cold and the server was very sweet.
