We had the pleasure of celebrating an 88th birthday this evening with a perfect Chelsea dinner! We each ordered the filet, medium rare. Probably the tenderest, tastiest steaks we've had in years. I think I could have cut the meat with a fork, and ever so delicious. Every aspect of our meal was perfection -- service, presentation, quality of food...all simply marvelous! This was a "Big Deal" dinner for us, much more than we could normally afford. It was worth every penny!

Frist time there, and wow we were very surprised of the quality of the food. The risotto was excellent, my steak cooked on spot. First bite you can tell the chef knew what he was doing .plan on coming back again and don't forget to get the bacon wrapped scallops

We eat here almost everytime we go to New Bern. The food is not your run of the mill offerings you see on other menus. It is different and prepared very well. I don't consider myself a foodie really but the Chelsea hits it out of the park for me and the service is always great. It's located in the heart of historic New Bern and the scenery, atmosphere is unique. You won't be disappointed! It is hands down one of my favorite places to eat.
Parking: There is a lot of on street parking but it is shared with the other businesses in the area. You might have to park and walk a little but if you don't mind circling a time or two, you can usually park reasonably close

Shrimp and grits tasty but shrimp didn't taste fresh. Bourbon maple salmon. Very tasty. presentation very well done and salmon cooked to perfection.

Thank you to the Chelsea staff for making our Thanksgiving dinner so memorable. We were a table of 12 and everyone raved about the food and service. The menu was exceptional. Can’t wait to return.

Great food, great cocktails, easy to work with , great party experience! The probable with the started is frankly choosing , they all were so good, year I went around the table to make sure I could take what people were sharing. Don't mish a cup of cream of crab, I'm from Maryland and thought it was excellent. The Ribeye with Gorgonzola (and a bunch of other toppings) was perfectly cooked and very noteworthy, the filet was also perfectly cooked , everyone loved their crab cakes, the shrimp and grits was top notch. We had a 90th birthday celebration in the upper room and they (Ron) worked very nicely with us to create a custom event and menu. Really nice to work with!. Nora is a top notch server and was flexible, very attentive to our needs and quite helpful with weaving order taking , serving and doing so while we had a program going on. People were changing tables , and she still go everyone's drink, dish right. Not sure how she did that so expertly. They came up with a special cake that was wonderful, and their dessert coffees were fabulous.
Vegetarian options: The vegetarian risotto was delicious.
Dietary restrictions: several gluten free offerings and a few but very nice vegetarian options
