I was not disappointed, and Ive had more than my fair share of different Mexican restaurants. Everything is very reasonably priced. And yes, the salsa was good. Not too tomatoe-y and not pepper-y. If you're thinking about it, just do it.

A hidden gem. This restaurant has been around since 1991, as the first Mexican restaurant in the high country. We stopped in after hiking and they accommodated our large party. We had friendly service, delicious food and reasonable prices too. Highly recommend!

Food was good, margaritas were fine but pretty basic. I asked if they had a top shelf (like with Grand Mariner or Grangala) and they only had margaritas made with premium tequila.Food and menu were better than average. Atmosphere was average.Our server just wasn't very good. She seemed like she didn't want to be there and was very disinterested. She also kept leaving things at one end of the table (we were in the middle of the room) and expecting us to pass it down.We'll gice it another shot sometime.

It's strange. Whenever I find myself out in the woods (in this case an Airbnb off of the Blue Ridge parkway), there maybe nothing in the way of good, nearby restaurants but somehow there is always a really good Mexican restaurant. This time was no exception. My only regret is that we weren't around long enough to sample more of their menu.

Over cooked fajitas, dried out flatbread, bland rice. Server was horrible - stayed on his phone or played with his child instead of doing his job. Never came by to make sure things were okay or offer a drink refill.I should have just gone hungry.
