Amazing drinks, great atmosphere, and friendly staff!

Should have an option for 6 stars. Awesome place for a drink or to hang out during a thunderstorm. Bartenders are always top notch.

On 16 May, my son and I road-tripped to the Bogue Distillery for a tour from Raleigh. We were first introduced to their bourbon during an NC State Fair 2 yrs ago and enjoyed it so much a trip to their Distillery was on our adventure list. This was our time to explore the coast and have a tour and drink. The owner Richard was charming - an NC State grad and football player with a long history that could “shine” if you know what I mean. He told great stories about his family and their connection to his products. The taste test was Devine! The walk through the distillery from incoming grain to bottling and labeled product showed a well run and organized facility. We spent 2 hrs on the tour and loved it! We left with three bottles of product to remember this lovely day. Will return when that is gone. Thanks for a great tour!

Wonderful friendly staff (Sam, Stephanie, Justine, Madison and Shawna) Sign language knowledgeable for the hearing impaired! Pet Friendly! The list goes on and on, can not recommend Bogue Sound Distillery enough!

This is a mixed review because I love Bogue sound distillery products. I have gifted the peanut butter whisky to my brother several times and he was visiting so we took an Uber to the distillery to enjoy food drinks and music. When I got there, the food truck had cancelled which is not a complaint against this business. The bartender, after waiting patiently, acknowledged me so I thought I was going to get to order a drink. Then she turned heel and went to someone she obviously knew at the end of the bar and acted like I wasn’t even there. I paid an uber to come out there and after the rudeness behind the bar, my brother paid an uber to get us to a location that would serve us.

Pulled in to enjoy some drinks as the establishment was labeled as dog friendly. Was approached in the parking lot by two off-leash dogs, one of which came up, hackles raised, at my leashed puppy. Bite/fight risk waiting to happen. Don’t bring your dogs here.

Ill start by saying take the tour and support your local community! Took the tour and was amazed at the knowledge, the layout and overall process of the entire operations. This tour is an obvious behind the scenes view of the entire operations and you get one on one with the workers and the tour guide Kim. It starts with the history of the family and then goes into the tour of the current established location and the variety of liquors they offer. The current liquors they offer are Spiced Run, Coconut rum, White rum,
Salted Caramel whiskey, small batch bourbon, wheated bourbon, Straight Rye, Bombshell Gin, Vodka and my personal favorite was their peanut butter whiskey.

A tucked away gem off highway 24 a little bit past the bridge to turn onto Emerald Isle. This place has plenty going on all the time, cigars and whiskey nights, Live music, Karaoke, Bingo and the list is growing and changing to bring in the crowds.

The peanut butter whiskey matched with their jelly shot (syrup) is very dangerous. NO matter how big the mixed drink or cocktail makes this stuff super dangerous by tasting like childhood peanut butter jelly sandwiches! Being a whiskey drinking I very much enjoyed the straight rye they offer which at the time proofed at 115 on the day. I enjoyed this over a whiskey rock and sipped it while on the tour. Smooth tasting with the punch that a rye should have.

Do yourself a favor and put this place on the must visit list, you wont regret it.

Really great bourbon, rye and other products at reasonable prices. Don’t let the exterior fool you: the interior is nice and comfortable. The service is great - friendly and knowledgeable - and even though we were obviously tourists we were warmly welcomed by the staff and the locals enjoying themselves.

Best Peanut Butter Whiskey ever! I drink it on the rocks… very smooth and great tasting! Blows all the other “PB” whiskeys away!

Kim (the bartender) was awesome...great place to experience some drinks and distilled spirits. Been to big distilleries in Kentucky and smaller ones in NC and WV a Tennessee. All interesting in some degree but not all of the alcohol is good. You will find something to like here but I think something that is underrated is there fair prices. Very few young distilleries offer products appropriately priced but this one is great. I walked out with 4 bottles and felt like that i walked out with a good deal. Their Vodka is genuinely good at 85 proof which is a game changer when almost all vodkas are proofed down to 80. Their Gin is refreshingly good and I loved there peanut butter whiskey rendition. Again it was a pleasant hour to taste their products and have a few cocktails. If we come back to this area I would like to try again as I am sure there will be new stuff to try!

My husband and I met friends here. The staff was wonderful. Friendly, funny and helpful. I like my drinks a little sweet and I love Carmel. Their salted Carmel whiskey and their coconut cream rum are both great. Kim recommended and gave me a sample of them mixed and ?. I ordered this in a drink and bought a bottle of each for home. My husband liked their Rye whiskey and we also brought a bottle of that home. You can sit at the bar or a table. Great place!!

Great place to hang out and enjoy craft made cocktails with skilled bartenders. Always a friendly welcoming crowd.

Such a cool spot and one we wish we had found sooner! Our bartender was AWESOME and the cocktail options were so unique and tasty. Loved that it was also dog-friendly -- highly recommend!

Their vodka is the best I have had in some time.
