The staff was very friendly and helpful. They were attentive to the keeping the customers happy and the drive-thru line moving by explaining to me the what and why of food distribution.

We stopped in to pick up some BBQ and sides to take to the condo. The BBQ was yummy. The hush puppies were good. We enjoyed the Cole slaw. The potato salad could use more seasoning but it was okay. I wouldn't recommend the banana pudding, kinda disappointing. We sure wish they would add some green beans and potatoes to the menu.

To me, the mark of a great BBQ joint is their brisket ... and ... well ... Smithfields does not have brisket. But, what they lack in fully embracing the full spectrum of BBQ, they make up with their pulled pork. Tender, juicy and bursting with that Carolina tang! Loved it!!! But of course you have to lean into that vinegar side of BBQ ... and for me I am full tilt.

And ... the Brunswick Stew was def worth the taste. Heavy in pork ...light in veggies ... but...
