Mulan Chinese Gourmet

Beware this restaurant. This was my first time trying this place out and disappointed. I pointed and ordered the number 34 and my husband ordered A.9. The girl that took our order never handed us the check, so I went up to pay for the food. She said it was $30.81. I proceeded to pay but I thought it was a little more than expected. I looked over the menu because the amount wasn’t adding up. I asked her about the price and she said that the #34 wasn’t on their menu and that there was only one size which was the #313. She then proceeded to print out the check after I paid. I told her that I didn’t order that number and she said sorry they forgot to mark it out on their menu. I asked her why she didn’t tell me about they “ no longer go off of that number” and she said “im sorry, I was just busy”. The plate I was charged was almost $5 more than what I actually ordered. I think they purposely up charge people because they didn’t hand any of the other tables their check. We will not be back.

I really enjoyed roast egg foo young. You can’t find good Chinese food in Texas so I’m glad I came to Newton, NC. I also tried the spring rolls and egg roll. The rolls are full of veggies and flavor. You can get a lot of food for less money. The tiny little baby in her walker was a bonus. I used Grub Hub ordering online. I decided to take the drive to pick it up.

One thing that I feel is very disrespectful and makes me feel uncomfortable is when you go to a restaurant and the people start talking in their native language, knowing you don’t know what they are saying and one top of that have a sneaky smile. Like, are you talking me and trying to cheat me on my food??? This is exactly the experience I had today. Plus the 3 times I have went to the place they do try to cheat you because they will automatically charge you for a large purchase without asking you what size you would like. I’m a from believer in treat people the way you want to be treated. I hate when people try to get over on you!! Also I ask for a refill on the water and they gave me water with no ice and made me feel like they was rushing me out the door. My experience at the place wasn’t pleasant!! I feel they are very rude!! Or maybe they are just prejudice. One thing I do know no matter where the money come from, all of it spends the same. Thank you for showing me 3 times your true colors. I want be back. Also, the girls that works there seem to young to work.

Ordered hibachi chicken and hibachi steak very fresh vegetables, steak and chicken Cook perfectly. I give four out of five stars egg rolls burnt could only take 1 bite

Incredibly Rude! When I walked in, the lady at the front counter asked, "can I help you?" I replied, "I would like to eat lunch. Are you open?" She then asked, "dining in or take out." The young lady who took my order walked up & said, "what do you want?" After eating my lunch, I walked up to the counter to pay, and the young lady said, "you owe me $11.09!" Of course, I left zero tip because of the rude & non-existent customer service.
Decent food, but the amazing lack of customer service means that I will never return to this restaurant.

Usually, their food is pretty good, but I had a bad experience there. I ordered the generals chicken. The chicken was hard and tough, many pieces barely able to chew. The fried rice was basically just white rice heated up in a little oil. I am married to a lady from Thailand, so believe me I know Asian food and fried rice. When I came back the next day and explained the situation, the owner just ignored me and acted like I wasn’t there. Not a good way to deal with a regular customer
