I'm a Southern Girl, so I was happy to find this place on my travels. Home cooked selection at very good prices. I especially loved the tender pinto beans & cornbread, the fried okra done RIGHT; and the collard greens were tender and flavorful, not bitter at all. My friend said the fried ribs were like a fried pork chop, delicious. She was surprised that she liked the fried ribs more than the BBQ ribs which she is more accustomed to.

We were traveling through town and wanted to try something other than fast food. came across Dean's on the apple maps app and the menu and prices were right up our ally. We checked out the buffet but chose to order from the menu. I got fried chicken, tomato and cucumber salad and mac&cheese, it came with a roll. My partner got fried shrimp, pintos and hushpuppies. Today (my birthday) my husband and I had lunch at Dean's. This will be our new spot every time we come to town. He ordered fried catfish with collards, mac and cheese, hush puppies, and pinto beans. All the food was delicious, perfectly seasoned, and came out quickly. I had BBQ ribs, mac and cheese, collards, homemade roll and cabbage.
