Whole fried flounder was amazing! We were a party of 11, they seated us quickly and we ordered fried food, snow crab, pork loin, lots of shrimp, and even a couple of burgers. Service is friendly and fast, food is great. We will definitely go back. The bar is well stocked and staffed.

Mindy was personable, professional, and courteous. Great oysters, excellent crab legs. One of the best restaurants on the island. We had to return two more times. The crusted coriander mahi was delicious. Great place, keep up the good work!

Very nice experience! After trying three other restaurants with wait times at 30 minutes or more, we called this place to see if they had much of a wait and they said they could get our family of four right in. We were seated quickly and had a great dinner. Our young kids LOVED the pasta with marinara sauce and my husband was impressed by the wings with boom boom sauce. The service was timely and dependable. Only recommendation is that the atmosphere be improved. The bar area was inviting but the tables are in a space that could use some increased comfort, warmth and style. With other eateries getting overrun with tourists this is a hidden gem that should not be passed by.

Easily the biggest hidden gem on the island. Marcus was the man. We heard about the crab dip and decided to stop up and try it along with the coconut shrimp. Marcus kindly obliged to getting my wife a Pina Colada despite how busy it was. Recommendations were on point as well, service was quick and timed perfectly with everything. ?

The food was excellent and the service was over the top! VERY friendly, VERY efficient. Our waiter was Marcus - you could tell he loved his job & was good at it. 10/10 recommended! Would return!!!

I thought it was great. Reasonable wait time, good food, and friendly service. I had a calabash flounder, shrimp, and scallops. I also got a cluster of crab legs and they were some of the best I’ve had. The crab dip was awesome as well.

I just wanted to say that everyone working in this place was wonderful. They all were working very hard to give great service to all their customers, as there were at least 4 groups of 7 to 10 people seated in the dining room at the same time. The food was pretty good. Everyone liked what they ordered, but my wife and I both thought that the deep fried scallops tasted a bit iodine heavy. On the positive side, the side garden salad was fresh and delicious, the fried clams and oysters were exceptional. Good Tartar sauce too! Thanks to Mindy for keeping everything together and running smoothly. She was a sweet lady, and wonderful waitress. I think Back 2 Shuckers has potential, it just needs a little work and a little TLC, and you'll have a heck of a restaurant on Oak Island! Stick with it!
