Duffer's Pub & Grille

Went for taco Tuesday and boy was it delicious! Sat outside to enjoy the sun with some friends. There were at lot of kids outside and boy was it a lot. I wanted To clear the air with the latest post, I heard the entire convo that was going on. Those sweet girls NEVER said anything bad nor did I hear A single cuss word. Those girls were busting their humps the other night! They are absolutely wonderful and so very kind! Keep up the good works girl!(Blondies) 😊

Not the best. Food was good. But hearing your worker say a cuss word infront of my kids after handing us food walking in wasn’t the best. Sorry if we were a handful. But no need to treat us like that. Will not be back nor recommending this place. The server was nice. But then forgetting our app before our food wasn’t very appealing. But other than that it was okay. Just the whole cussing after giving us food to the point my kids hear it was not okay. Shout out to the blonde girl with the collared shirt on you made a “wonderful” impression on us for cussing infront of our kids. Our server was great. Other then that nah never again.

We went with our family and were seated quickly. We sat for 20 minutes and no one ever came to greet us. We left. I’m pretty certain they didn’t even notice. Awful service.

Our foursome of ladies had an enjoyable and beautiful day playing the golf course yesterday, the starter and staff were so friendly and told us to “just have fun” and we did!
After playing the course, we decided to eat at Duffer’s Pub & Grille- and what a mistake that was! Upon entering, there was a podium with NO hostess and NO signage that we should “wait to be seated” so we took a table ourselves. After waiting for ten minutes for a server to appear, we noticed every table was being serviced including the table of four men who arrived AFTER us. We had to ask for menus and when the waitress came back with them, we were scolded for seating ourselves! and she didn’t even bother to bring us waters. She said there wasn’t a hostess for the day and they were short staffed, so I explained that this was our first time there and apologized. She didn’t care, was flippant then disappeared somewhere. The bartender and one of our ladies made eye contact upon entering the restaurant AND she didn’t bother to say anything about waiting to be seated. We decided we had enough of their RUDE behavior and left. We found a local restaurant instead near the beach, the food, staff and atmosphere were wonderful. It was a way better choice to go there. We really enjoyed the golf course but Duffer’s Pub & Grille will not get a second chance.

Loved this place! Best shrimp I've eaten in a long time. Definitely recommend.

Food is amazing! Service was great and love that it wasn't too crowded. Wish the volume on the TV was a little lower but looking forward to going back!

The hostess was the rudest I have ever seen. I entered through the door by the restroom and walked down the hall to the desk where a young lady and young man that worked there were standing, the automatic door opened and four people walked in behind me. The hostess never spoke to me and looked past me to ask how many people were in their party. The hostess them took them to their table, leaving me standing there. The young man then asked me how many of us there were and took the two of us to a table.

Maybe you get treated differently if you’re a member of the Golf Club, I don’t know. But I do know, I won’t be back.

Duffers is one of my favorite restaurants on Oak Island. They are definitely a hidden gem while having some of the best food on the Island. When I go in the summer I tend to get the ahi tuna wontons but if you're not much of a seafood person, I'd recommend the wings. They are always cooked to perfection and are absolutely ginormous. They have an array of sauces that you can choose from to spice them up as well.

Parking: There is a lot of parking for this restaurant as it is in front of a gold course. As someone whose been here a bunch, I've never had trouble finding a spot.

We were seated very quickly. Our order was taken quickly and the food was served in a timely fashion. The food was great.

Very loud, rude golfers yelling, service was lacking. Wrong food served, by the end of the meal we realized we wouldn’t be back.

This place has real good food. The employee's are engaging and friendly. The prices are reasonable.

Went for Calabash style seafood. Had before and it was great. Tonight no French fries or tater tots. Looks like you could have gone to a local grocery store and bought some. Founder was great. Shrimp was over cooked.

The food and services were good but the dinner/bar area was very noisy.

Parking: The golf course was very busy making the parking lot near capacity.
