Koko Cabana restaurant on Yaupon Beach is serene and uplifting, a boutique style restaurant, colorful, friendly, on the beach. The famous NC coastal laid-back beach vibe permeates. The food was fabulous. I had a veggie Impossible burger which was the best Impossible burger i've ever had anywhere. Fresh greens and aoili, and the French fries were excellent...the crisp was long lasting. The Oak Island pier is right out their back door. Kokomo Cabana on Yaupon Beach is a secret treasure.

On a whim went to Oak Island from a recommendation from ladies we met in Southport. We are so glad we did! Austin the owner and Abby the bartender were so cool and the food and drinks were so delicious!! All the staff love working here and it shows in service and hospitality and food quality. Thank you Koko Cabana we really loved our visit!!

Came here with some friends for our Spring Break celebration dinner! Our server Nick was absolutely amazing. He was knowledgeable about the menu and answered our questions. Service was extremely quick and he accommodated all requests. The view from our table was phenomenal, came between 6:45 and 8 and we had an unobstructed view of the sunset. The food was delicious and so was the cocktail I ordered. Will definitely be coming back and cannot recommend enough!

This place is phenomenal. Our server Nick was fantastic, he was so kind and personable. He went out of his way to make sure we had a great experience. The atmosphere was incredible, it overlooks the pier and we were there at sunset on the deck. Absolutely beautiful. The food was also incredible the shrimp was so fresh and the tartar sauce is the best I’ve ever had. Highly recommend the firecracker shrimp. 12/10 amazing.

It's a lot of seafood to be expected. ☺️. Not much for someone that doesn't eat seafood. Nice service. A Diner experience on the beach. Fun summer time lunch.
Hi, unfortunately, I did not have a great experience this last visit. I have been to Koko Cabana numerous times and this last time was not up to par. First of all the dining room was filled with flies. I had to look at 5 or 6 flies on the wall while I was eating which was a major turnoff. The other big issue was the table was sticky and whatever cleaner you use, is overwhelming. I smelled the cleaner the whole time we were eating. Between that and the flies, I was so disappointed. I live locally and love dining in the off season but was so disappointed. On a good note, the pretzel did not disappoint! Love the pretzel! One other suggestion, I enjoy your lunch menu so much more than your dinner menu. Love the burger options and the quesadillas. Your dinner menus is extremely limited. I will go back for lunch and hope that you can resolve your fly issues and the smelly sticky tables.

The location, service, and atmosphere were absolutely perfect. The fried clams were good but not fantastic. They were by no means bad. I just have had better. My wife had the coconut shrimp, and she said that they were fantastic. She would not even share one. We will definitely be back when they reopen in the spring of 2024.Parking: Free parking in the winter, paid in the summer.

This place is awesome. Right on the the ocean. They have indoor and outdoor seating and the outdoor seating is right off the pier. Their food was incredibly tasty and fresh. We didn't get anything that people didn't enjoy. Our server was really chill but took good care of us. They can accommodate gluten free eaters relatively well. We sat on their outdoor patio and it was lovely listening to the water while we enjoyed the outdoors. Looking for fresh catch of the sea along with a great view to eat it from, this is a great choice.
