This is let alone in my opinion better than south port!!! Every time I go to Oak Island, I always come here. It’s the best restaurant ever!!!!!! Their cheese curds are to die for and don’t get me started on the pasta salad. It may be in a small container, but it is delicious. The service is usually kind of good sometimes they’re understaffed, but it’s the best restaurant in my opinion in Oak Island. See you next weekend lazy turtle

The Lazy Turtle is where we fell in love with Oak Island. You walk around the side of the building to the best view on the island. The water, the sand and the Oak island pier. It was here that we realized what Jimmy Biffet had been singing about all those years. The food and drinks were just as great then as they are now. The burgers, bbq, cheesesteak and shrimp poppers are a big hit and Howie makes the best margaritas on the Island. The turtle isn’t fancy but it’s our absolute favorite beach vibe.

Stopped in today for the shrimp and flounder basket and it was great! Sat at the inside bar and Christy was super nice. Excellent experience. I will definitely be back to try other items. Fresh brewed iced tea was impressive too.

Rude staff. Menu isn’t clear on what is fried and what isn’t so be careful! Server didn’t come back to check on us and we had to go inside and find him And he was just on his cell phone. Went back again because the location on the beach is great. The other server was rude but the food was good.
We went there on Tuesday night in October and we're seated for 30 minutes and no one even spoke to us. Tables were being served all around us, several with people who came in after us. We finally left to find another place to eat ?.

After they sat us at the table no one attended us, we raised our hands and called several waitresses who only ignored us, my husband came in to request a waitress and that's when almost two hours later they told us that they were not going to serve us because we took our dog ( TO A PET FRIENDLY RESTAURANT)
