Really cool place on west oak island. The beers were really good and the food was surprisingly delicious. The smash burger hit the spot on a cold windy day and the fish bites were delicious. The sunset view from the dock was also incredible. Will definitely be back many more times

We came in table of 5. We ordered 2 1/2 lb snow grab, 2 burgers, and 1/2 lb shrimp. The burgers weren't cooked all the way and the snow crabs were old. Also we got 1/4 lb crab legs not half. Was only given one claw stack each when half pound is 2 each Terrible experience and still had to some how pay almost $400 for lil food, undercooked food, and old food.

I visited this restaurant about a week ago with a group of friends, and we enjoyed a pleasant 20-minute walk to get there. The building itself is beautiful, and the atmosphere added to the experience. The food was absolutely delicious, making the 30-minute wait well worth it. We were informed that outdoor seating was only available for appetizers, which was good to know in advance. Overall, it was a memorable outing with great food and a charming setting.

Good place to have lunch/dinner, it is the only place on the island that provides quality food. Took our group 15 minutes to walk from our area in the beach to this restaurant. The food was great and the service was nice. Food took about 20-25 minutes for 5 meals. We didn't experience the outside area but we were told that they only serve appetizers to people who dine there. Overall still a great experience, but be weary when going out during busy hours.

I probably ate way too much BUT I regret NOTHING! The fish and chips was great and the fish was huge 5/5. I also got the chicken wings. Their mild sauce was delicious and creamy and the honey garlic was everything you could want 5/5. If you're in town visiting or you live around and haven't gone, you should!

We were starving and in the area, so we gave it a try. Nice place, cool view, friendly staff.

Food was excellent, which came as a pleasant surprise. My wife had the fish and chips, which was perfectly fried and the fries were nice and crispy. I had an amazing club sandwich that was huge - crammed with delicious turkey, ham and bacon.

My wife also loved the beer selection and enjoyed her beer so much she bought 4 to go 🙂.

Service was very good - admittedly we were there when it was quiet. But we will be going back for sure.

We've been coming to this island for almost 40 years. Lonerider has filled a niche that hasn't been seen here in years. Yesterday our party of four was fed with a nacho plater and an order of fishbites. It didn't cost an arm and a leg to get a meal and satisfying beverages. Although plenty of things were offered on the menu , we went simple this time. It was really busy but service was spot on. We will be back in the spring to enjoy the outdoor seating. The view of the waterway is hard to match. Can't wait to start working our way down the menu.

Can’t believe it took us this long to try Lonerider since it’s .8 mile from our home! We arrived late to OKI and luckily they could seat us around 730. Our waitress was prompt and nice, the food was so good! We got the fried mushrooms, garden salad, chicken tacos, fish and chips and wings and had zero complaints! Looking forward to going back.

Staff was so nice. We are outside and the views were great. I thought the prices were a bit high. Specialty drinks $15.00. So NOT worth it.

This is a great option for a casual meal. They have a wide variety of beers on tap, but also have wine and cocktails. We went twice over the weekend for dinner since it is the closest restaurant on West Beach. The french dip and fried shrimp meal were both outstanding! There is both indoor and outdoor seating, and they've recently added a dock. Prices are a little steep for "bar food", but that's just part of being at the beach.

As a mushroom lover, I was very pleased to find out that this restaurant has fried mushrooms on their menu. Their wings are also very yummy and I would personally recommend the Sweet Josie sauce for them. Extremely delicious and the staff are very friendly.

Parking: Plenty of parking as the parkin lot is quite sizeable.
