Great place, recommended by a local buddy. Alyssa the bartender was excellent - attentive, informative, friendly. My blackened mahi mahi samie was yummy! Will be back again this week and on future visits. Oh, and they open until late while most places are closed by 9.

I understand it's a beach area but not a lot of parking. Waited 20 minutes to get seated, and nobody came to sear us, or at least let us know that they'll be with us in a little bit. So we just left.

We came here twice during our vacation to Oak Island because we liked it so much! The service and staff are fantastic! The food delicious and the games make it fun for kids! We will be back!

I’m a big city food snob so I tend to have low expectations when I get out of my stomping grounds. On the outside it looks like any old sports bar but the menu looked promising and I’m happy to say we weren’t disappointed. We ate there 3 times in the 5 days we were in Oak Island. I was a big fan of the fish o filet sandwich: a nice meaty piece of mahi was lovely and I was glad I asked for extra tartar sauce. We also loved the wings, the peel and eat shrimp, the patty melt, and the great service from Schmidty. Highly recommend.

Paul’s was a pleasant surprise during our visit to Oak Island. Their wings are 🔥(be sure to try the gojuchang and get them extra crispy) and the fish-o-filet is the best fish sandwich I’ve ever had. But the highlight was our new friend, Schmidty, who treated us to some good old fashioned hospitality and left us feeling like good friends by the end of the week. Placed order tonight with family. After 30 min they come out and say out of steak. I chose not to eat anything and we still waited another 30 min for a grilled cheese and chicken sandwich. And then we ask for check and waitress said she was able to take the steak off my bill THAT YOU DID NOT HAVE LIKE YOU DID ME A FAVOR. DONT GO HERE. YOU WILL WAIT FOREVER FOR FOOD AND MOST LIKEY THEY WANT HAVE IT AFYER YOU WAIT 30 min to start.

Excellent Dinner. Had dinner and drink July 4th. Everything was so good! Big Thank you for the hospitality before our trip back to Ohio.

Good food, good drinks, and good games! We had a wonderful server and a heck of a good time. The restaurant side isn't much to look at, so we were a bit skeptical coming in after most of the other restaurants had hour long waits, but the bar and gaming area was Paul's hidden gem. Sit by the bar, tvs, and games and it was a blast... Especially the shuffleboard table! We had a wonderful time at Paul's and enjoyed every minute of it as a family... Great memories!
