Solar brewing was an amazing experience for our whole family. The wings were phenomenal and the beer cheese was next level.

We had the pretzel chips and pesto pinwheels - DELICIOUS! Fast friendly service and a nice, relaxed atmosphere. Good assortment of music, not too loud 🎶

Love the ordering at the bar area and they bring the food to your table. Flight beers were perfect. Pizza was outstanding.

We ordered 2 appetizers the Parmesan puffs and Pretzel chips. Parmesan puffs were very good but the Pretzel chips were absolutely delicious. For my main dish, Sweet thai chili wings and the solar flare pizza which was Bacon, pepperoni, Italian sausage, mushrooms, and onions. The pizza was really good but those wings were absolutely the star of my dinner. The wings were fried perfectly crispy and to be honest, I've never before had wings cooked perfectly to my liking. I'm looking forward to eating my leftovers later.

We stopped in one evening, played trivia and had some delicious pizza (Solar Flare and Cheeseburger). We also tried some of their beers. We enjoyed the Tidal Hops, American Amber and Wit. The only disappointing beer was the Alaskan Brown, flavor was just off for us. The staff was outstanding and Leah was our favorite! We even had a chance to chat with the brewmaster.

Waited 15 mins for a server…nope never happened. Apparently there is a sign when you walk in that states you need to order at the bar…sad when you do not see it when you are looking for a table. Would be better if the bartender or servers would stop by when they see someone sitting for a long time and mention you should order at the bar.

We stopped by to check out the brewery and decided to stay for the food. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. As we were finishing up dinner Mike came in. We started talking with him and was given a tour of the brewery. Mike took the time to show our boys how he made his orange cream soda. He also let them sample it as he said they weren't of age. lol. He is very passionate about what he does and it shows. Thank you Mike for showing us around. We will definitely be back.

My family and i went here recently and loved it. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The beers were delicious. The kolsch was crisp and smooth and perfect for a summer beer. The russian imperial stout was over 11% alcohol but you would never know because it was so smooth and delicious. We got the margherita pizza and chicken tenders. Both were fresh made and very tasty. The tenders were not out of a bag but fresh breaded to order. The pizza was delicious and a good size to share between 2 people. I hope more people come out and try this place because the beers are delicious. Yes the beers are more expensive than the big name beers sold in stores but these beers are far better quality and WORTH the price. If you are going to oak island stop here for good beer and good food! Better than fast food and cheap corporate beers.

We had an event Saturday here and couldn't have asked for a better venue. Beer and food were good, and the service was excellent. Highly recommended.
